Overview: What is "Four Dogs and a Bone"?

A darkly funny, cynical yet ultimately truthful comedy from Academy and Tony Award winning playwright John Patrick Shanley (Moonstruck, Defiance, Doubt) "Four Dogs and Bone" invites us into a dysfunctional, manipulative, but hilarious quartet of show business professionals at odds over the fate of a film in production.  With impeccably witty writing by one of the most legendary playwrights of our time, performances by exciting new talent, and passionate, intelligent direction, "Four Dogs and a Bone" promises the independent theater experience of the year.  But we need you to help us bring it to the stage in the way that this amazing play deserves!

Team: Who's behind this production?
Anastasios (Taso) Mikroulis and Anastasia Morozova - Stas&Stas - are beyond thrilled to be co-producing this fabulous play as well as starring in the roles of Victor and Collette.  Our experience working together professionally originated with very well-received showcase performance at the June Havoc theatre at the Abingdon Theatre Complex.  Between that supremely positive reception, our love for quality writing, and the desire to produce work for ourselves and our fellow artists, we realized we absolutely must put together a full-blown production of "Four Dogs and a Bone"!

 

The Actors -

Samantha Strelitz as Brenda - Samantha is a Southern California native and NYU graduate. Her theater work includes originating the role of Marie in The Three Bears at the Manhattan Repertory Theater. Recent recipient of Best Actress at the 2011 CMF International Grand Finale for “My Ketchup Smiles,” she also appears as the conniving Sylvia in the upcoming triptych drama, “Into the Rose Garden.” This summer she debuted in dual episodes of Biography’s Celebrity Close-Calls as Morgan Fairchild.

Chase Coleman as Victor - Chase Coleman was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and raised in Monroe, Louisiana.  He is most recognized for his recurring role of Billy Winslow on Season One of Boardwalk Empire, as well as guest starring on The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Kings.  He has had many starring and supporting roles in independent films such as New York City Serenade, Catahoula, and God Don’t Make the Laws. Most recently he played the lead of Andrew in the Off-Broadway play “My Big Gay Italian Wedding.”   Since his arrival in New York, he has studied at various schools.  He recently has founded his production company “Bloodstone Productions,” and has created the short film “Into the Rose Garden” that he wrote, directed, and starred in.

Taso Mikroulis as Bradley (also co-producer) - Being honored with the artistic achievement award upon graduating with his degree in Film/Theater at Deree University(The American College of Greece), Taso Mikroulis recently wrapped his Off-Broadway debut as King Thoas in “Iphigenia in Tauris.” Theatre: I Hate Hamlet, Golden Boy, The Importance of Being Earnest, Into the Woods, Hello Dolly, GOD, and The Outsiders. Film: the award winning, Are You For Great Sex?(which also features one of Taso’s original songs), OtherSide, Ten-Buck Baton, Prince Leo, Papillon, Battle Angel, The B.T.S., A Day in the Lifeless, Indigo, and is currently filming An American’s Destiny. TV: award winning, “The RAs”, ”Fame Story”, and “The Upstarts”. Taso is currently producing his short film, “Atë”, and this Off-Broadway production of “Four Dogs and a Bone”.

Anastasia Morozova as Collette (also co-producer) - Born in Russia and raised in Washington, D.C., Anastasia has studied, worked in, and loved the theatre since childhood. She moved to New York after receiving her degree at the George Washington University, which included time spent abroad in Moscow at Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko’s Moscow Art Theatre and the Lenkom Theatre. Since then, she has been privileged to work both in front of the camera and onstage, appearing in independent films and larger productions, as well as screenwriting.
