Fox Brewing is a microbrewery set to
open this fall in the historic Valley Junction area of West Des Moines,
Iowa. Fox Brewing will craft both traditional and cutting edge styles of beer
to be available in local bars, restaurants, and the brewery's tasting room. Our grand opening will be Saturday September 12th with a preview party Thursday September 10th. You can get your tickets to the preview party here!
We will produce two year-round
flagship beers: a traditional Irish Red Ale, and a Belgian Blonde. These will
be joined by rotating seasonal brews, limited release beers, and tasting
room-only experimental beers.

Where are we now?
There’s a lot to do when pulling together a brewery. We have a location,
we've knocked out almost every wall at that location, put up a few new ones,
and our equipment is almost ready for delivery. The paper work is coming together and
we're starting to hunt for as many locally-sourced ingredients as possible.
Where are we headed?
Once open we will be brewing on a
steam-powered 7 barrel brew house. That means we’ll be making 210 gallon
batches of beer. Our beer will be available to drink in the tap room,
to take with you in growlers or limited release 22 oz bottles, and sold in
kegs to bars and restaurants.
Why do we need your help?
Opening your own business is always
expensive and a brewery is no exception. This Indiegogo campaign will help
cover expenses until the doors are open. A little help from you buying a
T-shirt, pint glass, or beer for life will go a long way toward making the tap
room your favorite place to hang out and have a beer.
What will your money be going
toward?
Any money raised through crowdfunding
will be split in to three areas.
First, for building up an opening
inventory of T-shirts, glassware, and other Fox Brewing merchandise. We’re
working with a local screen printer to develop all of our merchandise and want
to be sure we have enough of it to sell when we open.
The second place we will be spending
any crowdfunding money is on the tasting room. We’re putting in a lot of time
and effort looking for ways to make the Fox Brewing tasting room a fun, comfortable
space.
Third, we want to be a part of the
biking community. Anyone who bikes regularly has probably had their bike break
down on them while out on a ride. As we’re located just a block north of the Jordan
Creek Bike Trail we decided to install an outdoor public bike work station at
the brewery for anyone to use free of charge.
Anything we raise beyond our goals
will go toward an awesome preview party.
How can you help?
First, you can get the word out
about Fox Brewing on social media. Share the link to our Indiegogo page on your
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media sites.
Second, you can help us reach our
pledge goal. Indiegogo works by allowing supporters to pledge money in return
for awesome tiered prizes. If the pledge goal is reached in the given time
frame pledgers are charged the amount they pledged and prizes are distributed.
Steps:
- Create an Indiegogo account
- Pledge $1 or more (your card will only be charged when
the campaign ends)
- Share the link to this campaign on social media
- Repeat!
It’s really that simple and we can’t
do it without you!
