So here we are, after releasing our last 3 albums with a record label, we decided to experiment by going out on our own and putting the fate of our new album/release/love/passion/pride into your hands. We're inviting you to get involved, spread the word and help us sail through these uncharted waters .
Frank The Baptist began back in 1997 in San Diego California
And many of you have shown support and Loyalty all the way
through thick and thin: good times, great times, a relocation to Berlin and even a couple spells of inactivity.
Some of you have even stuck by us after witnessing or partaking in some of our shenanigans up close.
I and the rest of the
FTB family and armada, members of the band active and inactive thank you with sincere gratitude for your support and loyalty throughout the years.
It’s been too long since our last album, but I'm happy to announce we have
11 new
FTB tracks we’re confident will satisfy
your eager expectations. Many obstacles befell our grand designs and strategies on how to put out this album over the last year, and we finally decided to release
"As The Camp Burns" ourselves. In doing this, we're inviting all of you to take an active part in the release of this long-awaited album-- we're putting its fate into your hands. If you want a new
FTB cd/album you’ve got it, get involved and be a part of this and you can make it happen. No red tape, no contracts, just the band and you, just like in the beginning.
It takes a lot of work and a strong group of cronies to complete this ambitious project, and for this we beseech your support in making it happen. We need your help for pressing, promotion, mastering and all the sundry nickel-and-diming that come with releasing a quality album.
Check the rewards we are offering and choose your pledges freely as this will truly further us all along the path. We will be selling the album for digital download as well as professionally manufactured cd’s, and are offering some collectable and very up close and personal things.
Besides donating for prizes and rewards you’re also able to donate freely toward the cause (Up top on the right "Contribute Now") of keeping the band and our music that you've come to know and love alive. You will be contributing to the creation of what we feel is an immediate classic in our catalogue. Even a dollar or euro helps and if we reach our funding goal feel free to keep donating as the more we receive the better off we’ll be for promotion and if you want to see us play concerts in your town we can always use help with tour support.
Thanks and love,
FTB

Press, testimonials & reviews (from private listening sessions) for the new unreleased FTB album "As The Camp Burns":
"Silence is a virtue? Well, definitely not in the case of FRANK THE BAPTIST since the all around quietness surrounding the Brotherhood Whose Rears Lead The Women To Cheers within the past seven (!) years was definitely way too long. Now FTB are back in the swing of things, not only with a great new full-length record in tow, but also with a new found energy and drive that helped them cross the bridges between dark-ish Alternative Rock and Post Punk as well as (New) Wave elements in style and seemingly with ease. If you liked 'The New Colossus', you're going to be in awe with 'As The Camp Burns'." -Thomas Thyssen, Manager of Press Promotion at Universal Music and DJ (Pagan Love songs/ Ceremonies) Berlin
“Finally Frank The Baptist is back! With my favorite release to date. It is A self assured piece of bombastic wit possessing both strength and intimacy.“ -DJ Sean Templar, Asst Supervisor & Editor at MTV Networks, MTV/Viacom, NYC
“Frank Vollmann, our singing Seanchaí returns with a fantastic new Frank The Baptist record that captures the wonder, awe, and embellishments that only his seasoned craft of storytelling and song writing can provide. A perfect follow-up to the New Colossus, that will inevitably cause you to raise your glass and join in the chorus. Don't miss this one!” -Alex Baker, post-punk.com, Berlin/NYC
“"Pressure builds, the veil has broken"... From what I can tell after being able to listen to it once it's going to be another superb record! "A pregnant spider with a taste for velvet"... And if I may say so, as the Baptist gets older his music grows even more intense! "Meet me down at the harbor"... Can't wait!” -DJ Ralf Thyssen, (Pagan Love Songs) Berlin
"Please help support the new Frank The Baptist release. I'm one of the lucky few that already has it in my itunes player. I can honestly say it's one of the best things they've ever done. They're a lot of shitty bands in our scene, but FTB isn't one of them. They reliably deliver melodic songs loaded with hooks that you can hum for days. This new release is no exception. Sometimes you have to give a hand to a great band that deserves support. Please contribute today!"-Thee DJ Patrick, NYC
