INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION

The latest feature of the new truck system is the independent suspension hangers. This new design eliminates the stiff response of a traditional skateboard bushing and maximizes the turning radius of the board to match the same trajectory as a snowboard.

For years beginners have struggled to master the technique of edge control. The Freebord 5-X delivers a playful and forgiving ride with precise and predictable transfers. The new system makes going edge-to-edge simple and fun.

UNCONVENTIONAL ROCKER

In Freebording lingo, the term rocker refers to the distance the edge wheels are raised above the ground. This effect is what gives riders the ability to drift, carve, and slide the board in a lateral motion. The motion of sliding a Freebord is different from a longboard or traditional skateboard because unlike kicking out a power slide, sliding on a Freebord is about shifting weight from edge-to-edge. Just like snowboarding, you can apply more pressure on an edge to control your stopping power. The Freebord 5-X was designed to replicate the feeling of snowpack underneath your board.
