Meet Team Friendish
Hi. We're Chandra and Michelle, the founders of Friendish. We believe there's a better way to make connections with people online that doesn't involve swiping on people's faces.
Friendish is so so so important to us for obvious reasons. As women founders we recognize the importance of creating a safe, fun and cool environment for people of all ages, backgrounds and sexes to connect based on things that really matter, like knowing all the words to Twin Shadow's latest single or what Frank Underwood has up his sleeve in the next House of Cards episode or why The Force Awakens will be the best Star Wars movie yet. While dating apps work for some, Friendish is the first friending app that helps you find genuine people around you who share common interests.
What We Need & What You Get
Your contribution, no matter how small, will help us build a product that we can be proud of and that you'll love using and sharing:
- We're raising 20k because technology is not cheap.
- Mainly we need super servers so you can talk, meet and hang with all the awesome friends you meet through our app!
- Even if we don't reach our goal, 100% of the funds we raise here will go towards the app and building a better product for you.
The Impact
- It's been said that friends are the family you choose for yourself. But between work, school and other obligations, time is at a minimum for everyone and it is increasingly harder and harder to meet people!
- Friendish is valuable because community is essential to the human experience.
- If you're in tech, you know that DIVERSITY is something that has been at the forefront of the conversation. Similar to director, Ava DuVernay, we prefer the word inclusion over diversity and are taking our shot at being included in a male dominated world with the help of your support.
