Who are we?
Hello, I am the volunteer work chair at Simon Wiesenthal AZA. We are a Jewish high school fraternity located in California. As a group, we think it's important to help others so they can live in comfort and happiness. Our group is 100% teen-led; we came up with the cause and fundraiser completely on our own because we are passionate for the cause.
Why the FIDF?
As a group, we chose the FIDF for our organization to fundraise for. The FIDF is an incredible organization that helps the IDF (Israel Defense Forces or Israel's army) and has many programs (explained below). The FIDF is very well-connected and gets "discounts"; therefore, any amount donated here can make a larger difference than most other places.
Where's My Money Going?
The money is going to the FIDF (fidf.org). The FIDF is an organization that helps the Israeli Army in many ways explained in the video. A few examples of these ways are:
- Supporting soldiers that can't afford simple necessities of life
- Putting smart, poor soldiers through college
- Supporting lone soldiers (with no family in Israel) with holiday gifts and other presents
- Sending people to Israel to help them learn about the incredible culture
- Helping ethnic minorities in a multitude of different ways
- And many more!
How else can I help?
Spread the word to everyone you know! This is a very important cause that needs major support!
