When they released their debut EP, Brotherhood, in May 2012, their message was clear as were their influences- Killswitch Engage, Demon Hunter and Bullet for My Valentine, just to name a few. From These Ruins have definitely found and defined a dynamic of aggressive passion, melodic vocals, and groove-heavy drums with grinding guitars.
“Finally a hard rock/metal sound with all the right ingredients! In early 2012 they released Brotherhood. The six track, pulse pounding, over thirty minute album is loaded to the brim with heavy licks, melodic vocals and powerful messages.
From These Ruins finds an impressively rare quality with their sound. Rusty Sparks booms out the perfect metal voice while Jeff Garloch and Timothy Hartman intertwine their tour-de-force guitars. Matthew Bridgewaters and Chad Anderson pack the rhythm section with precision audible explosions. And here’s the bonus, Anderson, yes a metal drummer, shares vocals in plain English, one of the best metal sounds I’ve heard in a long time.” Greg’s Take, NanobotRock.com
Since the release of Brotherhood, FTR have maintained a rigorous gigging schedule with crowds growing constantly at every show. With an exceptionally energetic live show, where stage antics are never a stranger; along with diligent self-promotion, the band has increased their Likes, Followers and Subscribers from just under 1000 at the the release of Brotherhood – to just over 10,000 only 12 months later.
From These Ruins have are also on heavy rotation on over 50 radio stations including Broken FM, Righteous Radio – where they have been named band of the month numerous times, Broken Neck Radio, Threat Con Radio and Nuclear Fallout Radio where the band is the current Headline Artist.
From These Ruins have shared the stage with Nine Lashes, I Am Empire, The Wedding, The Protest, Loftland, Lastwatch, Children 18:3, Corpus Christi, Inhale Exhale, and Wolves at the Gate. FTR is continuously gigging this summer and are part of many festivals including Kingdom Come Festival 2013, Lamb Jam 2013, Juggerfest, and the second annual Priasecore Festival. With the little down time they find themselves with, FTR are working hard in the studio writing new material (that they like to debut during shows randomly).
“We are so excited for everyone to hear this new stuff, we don’t want to wait to get in the studio for people to get a taste!” Rusty said.
With the goal to record and a release a full length LP this fall, From These Ruins are doing nothing but putting everything they have into this project.

What We Need & What You Get
From These Ruins are ready to take it to the world. We have a magnitude of new material written and ready to record for our first full-length album and we want to do it the right way. Do-it-yourself is great, but there's something special about working with a producer and a professional studio. The problem is this- that gets expensive and in today's world that's just hard to afford.
We also want to tour the country but when all you have is a small SUV and no trailer, that can be a pain sometimes. This is what it comes down to- we need your help to finish up our full-length record and we really need a van and/or trailer for our gear and equipment.
By helping us out on this campaign you are helping make our dream a reality. The closer we get to our goal, the closer you get to making From These Ruins the next big thing. We don't let any good deed go unnoticed, either. By helping us, you'll become part of the FTR family for life and an honorary member of The Brotherhood. We will continue to thank you at every possible moment and who know what the possibilities are.
The Impact
Young bands like us just don't have the funding to do everything we would like to do or the things we need to do- the necessities to make it to the next level. Everyone who sees us live is automatically hooked. The stories we've heard from people who have connected with our lyrics, our testimonies and our lives are priceless and unforgettable. We want to hear your stories and connect with you too and we want to meet all of you. We can't do that without touring properly and without the right things in place. We need a full-length album and a van and trailer (if possible). If you help us meet our goal, we guarantee that we will come to your city in the future.
Everyone loves good music. In today's music industry there's no shortage of bad music, bad rock and bad metal. The "role models" of today are, let's face it, people you don't want your kids looking up to. We need good people for our kids to look up to and we, along with the other bands we've formed relationships with are here to put a stop to it and take the morals and positivity of our country back.
Let's make music something we can be proud of again and you can be part of the movement by helping us out!
Not everyone has the opportunity to spread the word of Jesus to crowds of people who've never known their need for him. Here's your chance to help us to do so on your behalf!
Other Ways You Can Help
We understand not everyone is able to donate their money. In today's economy, many people can barely make ends meet and we've seen many campaigns and causes we wanted to support but just couldn't afford to. We've been there and we understand- we won't hold it against you.
Here's how you can help:
Share the campaign link on your Facebook, Twitter, email messages and texts Word of mouth is an amazing tool.
Drop us a line and tell us that you support us- sometimes a simple "hi" will go a long way or turn a bad day around.
Just show us some love, we could always use some prayer and come out to a show- spread the word about From These Ruins and support The Brotherhood.
