Hi, my name is Nicolas and I'm a yaoi and shounen-ai fan from Europe. Some of you may actually know me as /u/gayfarang from /r/yaoi on Reddit (if not, hi there, glad to meet you!).
I've been living in Asia for the past 9 years and one of the complaints I've heard the most from fudanshis or fujoshis living in Europe or in America is how hard it is for them to get their hands on yaoi or shounen-ai merchandise. Many anime shops in the West stock no or very little yaoi merchandise, making it hard for fans to buy the cool products we have in Asia.
Being in my thirties and having experience in e-commerce, I thought it would be interesting to set up a service that would allow people in the West to get yaoi and shounen-ai merchandise at a reasonable price. This is how the idea of the FUJOBOX (Fujoshi Box, get it?) was born!
I recently met some people who are extremely familiar with anime suppliers in Japan and we are now ready to launch our business.
But, to do so, we need your support!
Your contributions will go towards:
- Setting up a registered company in Japan.
- Buying supplies and inventory.
- Setting up a decent website along with an order processing system.

Our FUJOBOX is a monthly subscription box for yaoi and shounen-ai lovers.
The box contains 4 anime goodies, officially licensed from anime or manga publishers, along with a sweet treat from Japan such as Japanese candy, Japan-only chocolate bars, etc...
Once our service is live, we plan on offering customers a choice between different plans:
- A one-off box with no recurring charges.
- A monthly subscription service (1 box per month) that is automatically renewed every 31 or 30 days.
- A 3-month subscription package (3 boxes sent on a monthly basis).
- A 6-month subscription package (6 boxes sent on a monthly basis).
- A 12-month subscription package (12 boxes sent on a monthly basis).

CURRENT STRETCH GOAL: Funding our venture ($20,000)
NEXT STRETCH GOAL: As an Indiegogo perk, we are offering backers the ability to purchase our one-off Seme Edition FUJOBOX, a larger, more expensive version of our regular box. If we reach this stretch goal, we will permanently offer customers the choice between the regular box (renamed the "Uke Box") or the larger Seme Box. Doing so, however, requires us to keep more inventory, which is why we need additional funding to permanently offer that second option.

Will the FUJOBOX contain NSFW (18+) products?
The FUJOBOX won't include NSFW images or products, for a series of reasons:
- Yaoi merchandise in Japan typically does not contain NSFW pictures, much like animes themselves (as opposed to manga).
- We want to allow the younger fudoshis and fudanshis out there to enjoy our boxes.
- Many fujoshis and fudanshis live in the Middle East, where homosexuality and explicit depictions of it are unfortunately illegal.
Will I receive my perks even if the campaign fails to meet its initial goal?
Absolutely! All perks will be fulfilled regardless of whether we meet our goals. However, if we fall way short of the $20,000 mark, we won't be able to open our service to the general public and provide it as an ongoing service.
