Mother's knows best. We usually hear that saying but for me I don't think my mom knows best.
She don't know when to stop taking care for us.
She don't know how to stop loving us.
She don't know how to stop how to make us happy.
Yes, she don't know how to rest.
All our life, she's always been there for us. She never ceases to take care of us despite of having our own family. She would always ask us if we are okay. How she can help. Are the children fine. An unconditional love that is.
She's a strong woman. She's always a shoulder to cry on. She's a friend you can lean on. She's an adviser, a problem-solver, She's our mother!
But now strong woman that we used to know is lying in a hospital bed. Can't speak, Can't move.
In just a blink of an eye everything changes. Heart attack suddenly conquers her. She was lifeless for a few minutes. She was crying before because she don't feel well. We went to hospital for a check-up. She was admitted. While nurses doing their usual routine she finally said she can't breath. After that, flat line..
The Doctor and nurses rushed over her to revive her. Oxygen was given, tubes are inserted and needles piercing her vein. It was a life and death situation. We never realized that we will be experiencing this, that this very moment that our dearest mother, lying in a hospital bed, lifeless..
After few minutes, with undending pumping on her chest, with the couple of electric shocks, she finally breath! Her heart starts to pump again. She's alive!
She was brough to Intensive Care Unit. From there, they did a lot of tests to her. Until the doctor found out that one of her kidney failed. It's not functioning already. The doctor also saw water in her lungs, 50% of her blood is poisoned by the toxic.That's why her body gave up.
Dialysis is done almost everyday. x-rays, ultrasound,blood tests. Hospital bills are getting higher. Medicine and medical supplies have to bought everyday.Alas, hospital administrator decided to transfer us to a different hospital due to high bills. Yes, we were forced to transfer to different hospital because we can't pay our bills anymore. They decided to transfer us to a small hospital with no apparatus that will support my mom. We disagree but they will not let our mom stay in the hopital. My sister, my dad and me were up until late night for find a good hospital with good facility that can support my mom's condition. Until one hospital agreed and accept my mom. We tranferred her.
Later on, doctor told us that she can't breathe by her self and she needs operation for her to breathe. With some help, we were able to deposit some money to perform the operation.
Now, almost 2 months had passed, she's still at the hospital. Doing dialysis every other day, draining the accumulated water in her lungs every 2 weeks. X-rays, blood,test,ultrasound and almost every kind of test are being performed every week.
We are seeking financial help to be able continue her medication, her dialysis. We are reaching out to all the people to help our mom continue her fight.
