Short Summary
My
name is Barbara Vagliano and I’m an artist based in New York City. I have supported AHTD-Zagora, a community
center in the Moroccan desert since we created and distributed a field guide of
local birds for the children of AHTD in 2010.
Thanks to AHTD’s dynamic founder and leader, Mbarek Boussekine, AHTD has
had the foresight to
support environmental preservation as an integral part of community
advocacy.
Since
then AHTD has grown exponentially and now includes diabetic diagnosis services
and eye check ups for children. They
also continue their
highly successful sports program, literacy, day care and tutoring for
children. Women of AHTD are working to
preserve traditional crafts. To see everything
that AHTD does visit their website: http://ahtdzagora.org. Also , look at our attached photos and documents.
The AHTD community in Zagora consists of approximately 40 children, 30 adolescents, 40 women and 35 men. Once a year they organize a caravan for diabetes diagnosis which benefits over 250 people.
We ran a successful campaign on Indiegogo that helped AHTD to
receive computers, sewing machines and work space from a Moroccan development agency. You can see that campaign at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/adhd-community-center-zagora-morocco/x/936481 Now
AHTD-Zagora needs our help to continue their programs that are vital to the
community they serve. If you believe
that positive human action will vanquish human problems, please support AHTD
Zagora. They have an impressive record
in helping people to help themselves.
This
Indiegogo campaign is for AHTD Zagora’s expenses for the first quarter of 2014. You can see details in the files we have included with the campaign. PLEASE MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS VIA CREDIT CARD. Thank you.
If AHTD Zagora does not reach its goal, all contributions will go to community center and we will give details of expenditures covered on this site. Whether you can contribute or not help us by sharing info on this campaign. Please use Indiegogo share tools as well as any other social media tools or other tools at your disposal.
