Gamer for Life is a Fan Art Tribute book. 283 game artists came together and donated 476 art pieces to be used in this campaign to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

• In 2012 Kevin, a game developer at Blizzard was diagnosed with stage four Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma, an incredibly rare cancer with no cure and no clear treatment path.
• This project came to be when we decided  we had to do something for our friend and fellow game developer, Kevin Kenai Griffith (KKG).
• Unfortunately in Oct. 2014 KKG passed away, as the content for the book was completed.

Gamers for Good formed for those who knew and loved Kevin to bond together and take action to support his battle with cancer. Our efforts soon spread across the globe and beyond those with personal connection to Kevin. Artists from Blizzard, Riot, Carbine, Activision, Microsoft, Ready at Dawn, GREE, Tencent, Turtle Rock and many more.

The initial goal for the funds raised by the book was to cover Kevin's medical expenses. When Kevin passed he had no unpaid medical expenses. Gamers for Good was able to financially support his memorial event.

So what are we doing now?

After he passed we spent a great deal of time deciding how the project should move forward, if at all. We decided Kevin would have wanted us to see this through, so we continued production on the book as tribute to him and as an opportunity to show off the great positivity that can come from Gamers in action. His legacy will continue on in the form of this book made by his friends and fellow game artists.

In order to try and stay as close to the original intent of the project we will be splitting proceeds of this campaign between 2 charity organizations in KKG's memory:

Gamer For Life consists of fan art from Kevin's top 10 favorite games created by game artists from all around the world.

How do I get the book?

Gamer for Life will only be available as a Thank you gift for donations to this campaign. It will not be for sale anywhere or be printed again.

What do we hope to accomplish?

Where will the money go?

The proceeds of this campaign will be distributed to the following:

• Fees and cost associated with this campaign, payment processing, Indiegogo, Backerkit, etc.
• The production and distribution of the perks
• Kevin's memorial costs
• The remainder of proceeds after the first 3 will be equally divided and distributed to charities, CureAPSP.org and Game Changer
