Hello world! We are GEPH, and we’re a progressive jazz metal trio here in the beautiful city of Boston, Massachusetts.

We’ve been making music and performing around Boston for a few years now.  Last year, we released our debut album on a shoe-string budget and it received amazing attention all around the world!  We had an amazing album release show and followed up with a summer of playing shows and festivals all over the Northeast, from the Canadian border all the way down to New Jersey.  Riding this momentum, we immediately set out to write our next album in the hopes that we could take this one even farther than before!

Well, the material is ready--this Indiegogo campaign is the final step toward creating our second album, the first-ever professionally produced GEPH studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for our professionally recorded album with Bryan Fennelly, an awesome producer and engineer here in Boston. Together, we are digging into our original material with Bryan, refining arrangements, and redefining our own unique sound. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Whole Body Headbang,” and you can check it out below!

While we were able to fund the recording process for "Whole Body Headbang" on our own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio time costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of our project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We will sit down with Bryan to start shaping the arrangements for each of the songs that will go on the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs, arrangements, and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and capture the songs you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end, so the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change our lives.

Having an album of this quality under our belt would open so many doors for us, ones that very well may allow us to continue making music for you at higher and higher levels, and reach larger and larger audiences. 

Music is, for us, a worthy and important pursuit and we each look at this band as a significant part of our careers as professional musicians.  Never before in history could a group of hard working musicians have the ability to reach ears and touch hearts all around the world with the simple click of a button.  Now more than ever, music can bring us together and help us feel connected as one people all over the planet.

While we've never made a music project of this caliber together before, each of us have a large and ever-growing resume of recording with other projects, writing, traveling and performing with other groups, and living the lives of professionals in our field.
