Fjord is a house team that formed at the Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) in January 2015. We specialize in taking any audience suggestion and turning into a reason to display our garbage hearts and fill our emotional voids with sweet laughter. Our dream has always been to take our show to an international stage, and we finally have the chance to do it! Canada has opened its arms by inviting us to the Vancouver International Improv Festival (VIIF 2016), but it's far too far for road-tripping and we'll need some help getting there!
From weekly practices to Saturday night shows, we love devoting the majority of our time to building our craft and engaging with our weird, Philly comedy community. This festival will not only give us a chance to show off all of our hard work to fresh eyes, but will also be a way to represent our beloved Philly on an international stage. #VIIF2016
We Are Fjörd
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking to raise as close to $4,000 as we can so that all 7 of us can fly to Canada and have someplace cheap & safe to sleep for the nights we have to be there.
All of the funds will go only to travel and stay. If any amount is somehow left over, we will donate it to help fund performance arts for children in Philadelphia. No matter what, your hard-earned and generously given dollars will absolutely be going to the arts.
You WILL be rewarded for your kindness. In addition to keeping you updated about our trip, we have goodies all set up for you so you have something physical in return to hold/wear/stroke while you miss us on our big, international trip. Like our new, Philly-inspired t-shirt!
Other Ways You Can Help
We love attention even more than we love money. So if you can't contribute dollars, you can always:
