For 98
days young men and women between the ages of 15 - 21, sleep on gym floors,
practice from sun up to sun down and travel by bus mostly at night. They give
up their lives for these 98 days. However, if you ask them why they do it they
will tell you that it is worth it. They "Get Hungry and Dig Deep". This
documentary will capture the highs and lows of being a World Class
Drum & Bugle Corps. It will capture the daily challenges that are faced by
its members both on a group level and an individual level.
The Goal
As with so many independent filmmakers, I have come to Indiegogo and the crowdfunding community to raise the funds needed to position myself to start and finish the film. Indiegogo allows people like you to participate in the making of creative projects, such as Get Hungry Dig Deep. Funding on Indiegogo is flex -- a project that does not its goal still gets the money that was raised. My Indiegogo goal of $10,000 will help fund the following expenses:
Production crew and equipment Rental
Follow-up FilmingEditing room/equipment
Post Production Editing
Transportation Cost
Archival and Music rights research
Your pledge, large or small, brings me closer to finishing the film. In return, along with my as well as the Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps endless gratitude, you'll receive one of the rewards listed on the right side of this page. We are confident that with your support, we will meet or exceed our goal by January 11th.
**If the goal is not reached, the raised funds will go directly to the Pioneer 2015 Operating fund.
The Impact
Because of your contribution, this documentary will assist in the continued operation of The Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps. Because of their continued operation, young men and women from around the world will be able to continue to participate in the exciting world of drum corps. Additionally, %50 of the film proceeds will be contributed to the Pioneer operating fund.
Risks & Challenges
I am committed to making a powerful film, and know that there's a large worldwide audience ready to learn and help educate others about Drum Corps. My plan is to finish the film by Spring 2016.
Fully financing a feature documentary is challenging. As with all films, completion funding determines the actual release date. Indiegogo fulfillment dates related to the completed film will be adjusted accordingly. I promise to keep my supporters informed of my progress as I bring this film to fruition.
