When we first came up with the idea for MAP Health Watcher, we thought we could use existing smartwatches to provide the data we needed to offer a cloud-based health service based on the latest data analysis techniques.
We soon realized, however, that the wearables on the market were not capable of delivering the quality of data needed for serious medical use. The sensors were imprecise and only provided very scattered data points, while none of the devices contained the combination of five sensors we wanted to use as the basis of the MAP Health Watcher service.
So we had to go into hardware development too – while our doctors and scientists were hard at work on refining the artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning mechanisms, eliminating unwanted noise from the data and overcoming countless other issues.
This medical-grade wearable device is capable of delivering data of high-enough quality to support our cloud-based service driven by the state-of-the-art artificial intelligence.

Simply wearing the MAP Health Watch allows us to collect and process medical data in real time and respond immediately in the event of any issue of concern. If our algorithm recognizes any known pattern of a developing disease, we notify you and our medical team provides instant and tailored advice.
All this based on pioneering artificial intelligence developed by the MAP Health Watcher team.
When we ship your MAP Health Watch, you’ll be given the choice of a Gold ($30/month) or Platinum ($50/month) service pack. If you have signed up for a perk with 3 or 6 months' full service included, you will automatically receive the Silver pack, which is only available for Indiegogo backers.

MEDICAL CASES
Heart attack
![]()
A heart attack is caused by a blockage to the coronary arteries. This blockage often develops gradually over a number of years and can cause chest discomfort of varying severity.
A large number of heart attacks and sudden heart-related deaths could be prevented through the use of the MAP Health Watch.
Chest discomfort can have a variety of causes. It is extremely important to know whether any chest pains, breathing difficulties, numbness or tightening are occurring as a result of coronary artery disease. If the user experiences any of these complaints, the MAP Health Watch can help by taking an instant ECG reading. With the help of special algorithms, the data recorded is then immediately analyzed by health professionals. If there is any suspicion of an irregularity, the user is advised to consult a medical professional immediately. Treatment administered in good time can save lives and help ensure a long, full and active life for the user.
FALLS AND ROAD ACCIDENTS
![]()
With the help of its built-in gyroscope, the MAP Health Watch can immediately detect and send notifications of any falls, road accidents or other similar situations. This means allows assistance to be provided as soon as possible.
Falling down at home and not being able to call anyone for help is one of the biggest fears for elderly people who live alone. It is also normal for younger people to be afraid of having an accident and not having anyone around to provide assistance. In the event of loss of mobility or consciousness, the injured person is often unable to call for assistance at a time when every second counts. Professional help sent in time by the MAP Health Watcher team therefore has the potential to save thousands of lives.
DEHYDRATION
![]()
Dehydration is a huge and potentially life-threatening problem, especially for the elderly, but also for athletes, people who carry out physically demanding work and those who spend time in conditions of extreme heat.
Wearing the MAP Health Watch can help detect dehydration. This is something completely new, an innovation on a global scale.
Our own research has shown that certain changes to the pulse can establish with high probability that the user is suffering from dehydration.
Dehydration, which may seem banal but is in fact life-threatening, has been found to be responsible for the poor health of elderly people on countless occasions. Older people are more exposed to the dangers of dehydration as the sensitivity of the brain to thirst is significantly reduced as people get older.
USE CASES
Measure and predict
![]()
By taking vital measurements of your body and analyzing the resulting data, the MAP Health Watcher system can help detect the early signs of serious health issues, including numerous heart conditions and certain types of stroke, allowing you to take preventative or remedial action.
React to emergencies
![]()
Because the MAP Health Watch device is equipped with an accelerometer and clinical-grade medical sensors, it can detect if your loved one should suffer a fall or accident, and even a heart attack.
If the readings report anything abnormal, the MAP Health Watcher team of qualified doctors will instantly notify relatives or close friends, as well as the relevant emergency services*. The device is also equipped with a panic button to allow users to issue a manual alert.
*If available in your region.
Monitor health and fitness
![]()
We all want to lead a healthier lifestyle, but how do we know if we are making progress towards our goals? The MAP Health Watch monitors stress levels, recovery time after exercise and steps taken so you can track your health and fitness in the long term, assessing your stress levels and any improvements you have made so you can stay informed and stay motivated!
WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY
While traditional health care has always been focused on treatment rather than cure, that is about to change with the advent of artificial intelligence. This revolution is being led by a variety of enterprises and projects, such as MAP Health Watcher, says Japanese professor and intelligence systems experts Dr. Hamido Fujita.

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDERS
We are an ambitious group of medical professionals, mathematicians, and developers who have spent years forging scientifically grounded algorithms to analyze real-time health data in order to spot the very earliest signs of illnesses.
This service was the reason we created MAP Health Watch.
Our early thinking was that existing smartwatches would be the perfect way to collect this data - but we soon recognized it wasn’t going to be that simple.
The sensors used on conventional smartwatches and fitness watches simply aren’t complex or accurate enough to allow us to collect the quality of data we need.
We realized we’d have to develop our own device with clinical-grade sensors that are reliable enough to provide accurate medical data.
And that’s what we’ve spent the last three years doing.
SHIPPING
The estimated shipping date for the MAP Health Watch packs is December 2017. Production will begin in November, so we expect to be able to deliver the product by Christmas.
