My Story!...

Hi. First I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Thorsten R.M. aka Tokka(train) and I was born in 1979,
I am a freelance artist at night and I have two day time jobs (they just cover my
monthly bills)!

I used to draw a lot as a little meatball and my influences as a kiddo were movies,
comics and video games and later the world around us. Throughout the years between when I was 15 and 21 I almost didn’t draw at all.



I discovered for myself the world of music composing and game development.
I got back to drawing about the age of 28, after realising that art and game developing is what I wanted to do with my life.

Well what I feared most finally happend on the 23rd.Sep, my good old 8 year old computer-rig died, since then I am unable to work on commissions and game projects. In my financial situation currently I can't afford a new computer.

So what Do I Need?...

Aside from supporting a funding campaign and giving me time to breathe and going
back full-time freelance, it also sets the ground for my future career as an indie game developer. With your help I will be able to create more games ( Software I'm using: Gamemaker Studio Pro ) that I can imagine and if you own an Android (or iOS and Windows Phone, once I get to port the titles),

You will be able to enjoy my creations as well for free!

If the goal isn't reached: (totally depend on how much help I get in this campaign)

• A New Workstation (at least €500) - This is the main goal of the campaign to get back to work on commissions and projects to hopefully save some money.

If the goal is reached, the breakdown is as follows:

• New Workstation: €1500
• Tablets: (Android/iOS) €698
• Developer and market fees: €300
  
• Software Upgrades (commercial licences): €729

+ PayPal 3-5%
+ $25 wire fee)

Total cost including fees: €3549,70
(I would better make sure I round up a bit to cover them...)

Final total: €4000

My current goal as you can see is around 4000€. It seems steep and unrealistic, but it's really going to help when working with vectors,graphics and video editing in high resolution.

Remember the last time someone helped you in a time of need, and the impact they had on your life? Someone gave you a couple bucks so you could get home?

In a sense, this is how I feel. I feel like you would help me to get home. My life is revolved around this and without it, I basically lack a bit of a life!

Risks and Challenges...

If I don't reach my goal, I will put what I may have made into a savings account to hopefully work up to getting the hardware and software I need.
