C.A.P Productions is a team of eight fourth year Ryerson University RTA: Media Production students. We have come together to create a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about creating content that will make viewers reflect on meat consumption and consciousness towards foods in a comedic way. We are not saying "eat meat" or "do not eat meat" but rather raising the question of food transparency and local eating.
Together, we are creating a short dark-comedy and documentary interview series for our thesis project.

Getting to the Other Side is a fictional dark comedy about a girl and a chicken. The story follows DREW, an eccentric young food journalist who has lost faith in her industry. In an attempt to shock and educate her readers, she sets out to explore the responsibilities and consequences all omnivores face when consuming meat. To do this, Drew brings a live chicken to her Toronto apartment and must decide whether or not to kill it. In doing so she tries to regain an understanding of her pace in the food chain. Drew’s character takes these topics to the extreme, She has always been aware of these issues but it is not until she is influenced by content surrounding the issue that she is inspired to kill. Once Drew is set on a path, there is no room for pit stops.
Basically, it is about a girl and a chicken. AND YES, we have a REAL CHICKEN. Trust us, there is nothing more fun than typing "chicken and chicken wrangler" on a call sheet.
