What this is about
It's hard to imagine the difficulty of growing up boxed in by deafness. There are very few places to turn if you are a parent whose child is affected by hearing impairment, but First Voice stands strong as a path for children to fully engage in the hearing world.
The also rely on donations for 70% of their funding.
Gift of Hearing is a unique campaign, developed by a group at The University of New South Wales, to raise much needed funds for an incredible organisation.
Companies will be asked to donate the audio from their television ads during the lead up to Christmas this year, and the audio will be replaced by a narrator compelling the audience to come together and buy deaf members of our society a gift for Christmas through the website giftofhearing.com.au
This is an exciting campaign, and we cannot wait to see it running on national television.
What this indiegogo campaign is about
For a national television campaign, this is going to be decidely low cost, but we do need to cover a number of incorporation and production expenses to make this a reality.
Contributing now will make this campaign happen. Everything contributed now will have a 10 fold impact for the organisation.
We have set the perks for this campaign to keep you involved with Gift of Hearing as it evolves. We want to a community behind this, and are hopeful that you will join it.
