What do I say about Hailey?! Hailey is the daughter that any parent would be over joyed to call their own. She is sweet, thoughtful and compassionate. She is also super smart - one of the small few at her school who will be taking pre-algebra and all honors classes when she enters the 6th grade in the fall. Hailey not only excels in school, she also want to save the world. She is currently working on her Bronze award, the 3rd highest award given in Girl Scouts. It is titled "Heal The World". In this project, she explains how to help make this world a better place by celebrating its greatness and changing a few every day habits. I am very proud of her.
Hailey has an amazing opportunity this coming summer (2015) to spend 15 days traveling around Europe, hitting 5 countries with her Girl Scout troop. Unfortunately, I can only come up with about half of $4,500 needed to send her.
She deserves this trip. When I was sick 2 year ago, she would get her then 5 year old sister ready for school every day. On days that I could not cook, she made cheese and pickle sandwich for dinner so I wouldn't have to leave my bed. And if you can't see her greatness yet. . . her little sister was diagnosed with a life threatening food allergy in February 2013. Hailey cleared out our cabinets of everything that could make her sister sick. She learned how to read labels and made sure she knew how to give an EpiPen in case of emergencies. Hailey plans to use her Girl Scout Silver award project, the 2nd highest girl award, to educate the public about the dangers of food allergies.
Girl Scouts is a wonderful organization that helps build our future leaders. Hailey is a leader. I want her to continue on this journey. This trip can open her mind and change her life.
With your help, Hailey will be celebrating the 4th of July of 2015 in Rome. I thank you in advance for even considering my request.
Thank you again,
Hailey's mom: Candice
