The Recipe is a Christmas movie in the same tradition as the
classics. A movie that brings together the qualities of what Christmas is all
about. Which is ultimately, HOPE.
Ethan
and Nadia met when they were 7 years old and were inseparable from that day on.
It was not long after they finished school before they married. Sixteen years
later, Ethan is at a crossroad. He can retire from the military with full
benefits in four years, or retire now and follow his dream of opening a
restaurant. He struggles with the recent loss of his father, as he realizes
that his father died never pursuing his dream. Nadia is adamant that with just
four more years of military service, he will be eligible for retirement and he
should just stick it out. The issue is left unresolved. Ethan is deployed on a
mission when he and his team are grounded behind enemy lines, with his company
in a firefight gone bad. He provides cover against the enemy so that the rest
of his men can escape. As far as the military can tell, Ethan saved his team and
died in the fight. Seven years later, he is still missing. Everyone Nadia knows
is encouraging her to move on. However, her love for Ethan has not moved on. As
another Christmas approaches, she decides to give him one last Christmas
present, and open his restaurant. Although faced with overwhelming odds, she
works to make his dream a reality, never giving up on her love for him.
A veteran who works with and helped in
forming Good Knight Pictures Shares an insight
Now,
we have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a veteran. Good
Knight Pictures would like to train and hire homeless veterans to work with
Good Knight Pictures starting with the movie “The Recipe”. We need $100, 000
just to get started. Your contributions will help us to provide housing and
training for various positions as crew on the film. It doesn’t stop there. Good
Knight Pictures will donate a portion of the proceeds from every feature film
we make to help support the various charities that are already working to help
veterans. Just think of all the veterans we could get off the streets with
$1,000,000.
Donate
now to give a veteran the gift of hope and take care of all your Christmas
shopping. All of the digital downloads
will be available by December 15, 2014, this will allow you plenty of time to
download it to a disk or flash drive and stick it under the tree.
