We are a husband and wife team and we have developers of children’s book stories aiming to inspire, encourage, and spark the confidence every child needs to overcome the struggles of life. Every child loves listening to stories, and one reason behind this is because it takes them on magical adventures, where they can explore, learn, and have fun.
Thank you for taking the time to read this far! Let me introduce myself, My name is Nijeta Ankh, I am an Entrepreneur, Content Creator, Philanthropist, and mother of 2. Over the years as a children’s book writer there was only one thing that stood out to me “I didn’t want to write for profit” As the lead writer for the Nubu Universe, I’ve spent months contributing to the enhancement of our characters, even though I knew I was doing right for the circle within my community by developing characters that looked like me. A year ago I made a visit to an orphanage for the first time in my life, can you imagine that? Being a full-fledged adult, I am almost ashamed to admit this but it is my truth! Walked in with so much pride and satisfaction with my life but on my way out, I left with a sore heart as I felt I had lost my path, purpose, and sense of direction, within a split second, my entire reality switched before my eyes birthing NUBU ARTS OF COLOR FOUNDATION, an NGO to edutain the less privileged.

I have kids of my own, twins to be exact, and I wanted them to be able to learn about their culture and other cultures around the world, we hear of many stories of our ancient civilization but only get a lack of understanding of its existence. Our series of books embarks many ventures throughout the world sharing indigenous knowledge and traditional knowledge.
Throughout my journey in life as I have traveled from state to state within the United States and regions to country within Africa I founded that I love to travel because it gives a sense of freedom while keeping you grounded at the same time. It connects you, to the world, and to people. Traveling is a great teacher and constantly highlights the importance of doing what you love to do as a person. By understanding so, it geared me to create such wonderful books. The first series The Adventures of Nubu “Naki and the Basement of the Sun” was planned to spearhead the project, and if funded we will be encouraged by your interest to continue on to the next book. - The Adventures of Nubu “Adofo Shadow Hour.”

Our Story begins... The grand pharaohs of Egypt for years have been honoring their daughters giving them the best traditional parties, wedding, celebrations, and festivities, but this year wasn’t the norm, Bastmarette who’s one of the pharaoh’s daughters posed as an Egyptian feline was honored for the first time as a new ruler on her land and was giving her own festival named The Bastet Festival. In doing this festivity she tied the 8 special scrolls around her neck and traveled the Egyptian city as a lioness headed towards one of the valleys. However, Apet who is a large evil wicked snake with the intention of taking over the lands of Egypt, found out that she was departing and trailed on his belly and slithered his snake-like body to the valley in order to report to the eight other gods what he saw causing confusion, then right after Apet steals the eight scrolls from the Valley of the Kings who Bast gave the scroll to and some were sold to merchants and sea travelers. Apet took over Egypt allowing it to fall and reversing its powers and submitted them under his control.
If the scrolls are found and united before Egypt stands a chance of re-establishing itself as a ruling world kingdom with the support and guidance from Bast, Egypt will then be able to rise once more as it has been before. Bast for thousands of years has been searching in hopes to reunite the missing scrolls. If not found the waters of the world will rise and cause a flood. This could unfortunately rid the world of not only the scrolls but the principles and characteristics that make for a great kingdom. Bast now realizes that the fate of the scrolls lie not with her, but in the hands of children having the innocence and qualities as mentioned on the scrolls. Her search has finally led her to eight special kids. Bast’s only challenge now is seeing if they’re willing to take the quest.
