My Wings are a new style of children’s shirts that actually have wings. These wings are artistically designed with original art that creatively depict the wings of butterflies, dragons, and fairies. My Wings creative playfulness can fuel a child's learning and development. These uniquely playful shirts nurture every child's inclination for fantasy and curiosity. Each shirt also includes an activity booklet that playfully helps develop confidence, self-esteem, creative exploration...and to soar in life!
My Wings has teamed up with Shriner's Hospital for Children®-Northern California and Pay It Forward Sweden to create the Giving Wings charity program, which gives My Wings shirts to children with various types of special needs, to utilize in playful healing recovery. Many children have had their “wings clipped” through hardships in their early lives. This unique program will uplift these children...giving them their wings back!

How It Works
Your generous contribution to My Wings, whether it’s $5 or $5,000, enables us to fund our first production run of My Wings shirts, produce the accompanying activity booklets, and deliver My Wings to children around the world.
I have self-funded thousands of dollars to get to this point, but now need help from others to take My Wings and the Giving Wings program to children around the world. I humbly and respectfully ask for your help to reach our goal and to uplift children and help them to soar in life. Thank you!
Please contribute now by selecting your desired Perk:
- You can purchase one or multiple My Wings shirts for children you know by claiming the appropriate Perk.
- You can also contribute at various levels to the Giving Wings program and help give My Wings to children in need using the Giving Wings Perks on the right.
You are welcome to select and purchase multiple Perks; however, each Perk requires its own transaction. If you'd like to claim multiple Perks, please make a new contribution for each Perk.
After the completion of the My Wings funding campaign, a questionnaire will be sent to contributors asking which style and what size shirts they desire, and to what address they want the shirts delivered. Contributors to the Giving Wings program will select in the questionnaire which organization they would like to support.
Giving Wings contributions will fund the production and delivery of My Wings shirts to our growing list of partners in the Giving Wings program. Initially Shriners Hospital for Children® and Pay It Forward Sweden will gift the shirts to benefit the children they serve.

My Wings are made of 100% organic and Fairtrade cotton, with digitally printed polyester chiffon wings and sleeves. They are produced by our Fairtrade manufacturers that certify compliance with specific environmental, labor, and developmental standards.

The wings are stunningly beautiful designs that depict butterfly, dragon, and fairy wings. The printing is on the front side of the wing to give maximum color vibrancy to each wing design; the back side is not as bright as the front.

The My Wings Story
BY THE FOUNDER OF MY WINGS
My Wings began to take life in 2007, when I was a music teacher of young children, after graduating from U.C. Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in community studies and minors in business management and social sciences, with a heavy focus on creative arts.
It was my passion to awaken the children’s curiosity and musical gifts at such a young age. At one point during the classes we would dance with scarves that through their imagination became wings. I noticed that as they took flight they would all lighten up, their innate joy would kick in, and their playful confidence would allow them to stretch into new areas of development and learning. Especially moving for me was seeing the children with physical or emotional challenges opening up with greater confidence through playful flying. I believe that the wings reminded the children of the feeling of freedom that is already alive within them, and that their dreams are possible and within their reach. Just like the freedom the crawling caterpillar must feel as it becomes a butterfly.
I spent the next 6 years traveling and exploring community around the world. Though I saw many beautiful sights, I also saw a lot of children suffering. I felt a desire to do something to help these children. In a moment of inspiration I had a vision of beautiful shirts with wings for children to help them connect with their power and freedom within. This reminded me of my early flying-with-scarves experiences during the children’s music classes. I looked to buy shirts with wings for the children, to remind them that they can grow, achieve their dreams, and soar in life. To my astonishment I could find no children’s shirts with wings like I envisioned. In addition to the winged shirts, the idea to include stories and activities were included to help strengthen the children’s “inner wings,” aiming to nurture empowering qualities to help children fly their highest and shine their brightest.
In early 2014 after moving to Sweden I won several contests for business start up support based on My Wings. I received business development training and business mentorship, and it was finally time for My Wings to take flight. I gathered artists and designers and created the first My Wings designs, and made my initial prototypes. Children absolutely loved these creatively playful shirts and I believed they could help all children, the fortunate and the less fortunate as well. Thus was born the My Wings business model, which includes the Giving Wings program that gifts My Wings to children with special needs.
This Indiegogo campaign is my first request for money to help support the My Wings dream. I have self-funded thousands of dollars to get to this point, but now need help from others to take My Wings and the Giving Wings program to children around the world.
