Paul has nearly 20 years of experience in producing short films having trained at Edinburgh Video Access Centre, Mediabase as well as short film courses through Napier University and on-line. Paul set up the Leith Unemployed Media Group in the 90's and was given a production grant where he produced, directed and edited his first four short films.
Paul has since won Cinefringe Judges Award for best film 2010, The 2010 Edinburgh Short Film Feast competition for best Edinburgh-made short film, nominated for best comedy at the 2012 Smalls Film Festival in London, nominated for best short film at the Grosvenor cinema Scottish Short Film Awards, Paul has also been on BBC 2 ‘The Culture Show’ where he was interviewed by Mark Kermode and which featured one of Paul’s short films. One of Paul’s short films was also selected for the Grand Finale of the cultural Olympics event ‘Hansel of Film’ in 2012 and is to be featured in the full-length documentary movie ‘Doc of the Dead’ by Alexandre Phillippe scheduled for release in 2014.
Paul has written, directed and produced around 15 short films. These have featured at film festivals around the world including The London Short Film Festival, Berlin Festival of British Film, Stuttgart Animation Festival and many others.
Clarisse Loughrey
Clarisse is an actress, comedienne, and film journalist. A recent graduate, she's had a long history with the University of Edinburgh's comedy society The Edinburgh Revue.Not only did she serve as Vice President in 2010/11,she also directed and performed in their 2012 Fringe Sketch Show ("Sketch shows which were far less funny and comedians with far less talent have been on TV" ***** Cream of the Fringe) and will be performing in their upcoming 2013 Fringe Sketch Show. She's founded and performed for various Edinburgh-based comedy groups such as Who is Jean? (“Unadulterated genius” Threeweeks), We Happy Few, and Cry Baby Comedy at the Picturehouse Cameo Cinema and has starred alongside Parminder Nagra in a small role in feature film Twenty 8k. She also currently works as a film journalist for VICE Media.
Margaret Henderson
Margaret is experienced in set design, costume and prop design and in production. Aside from her experiences in theatre, she has worked on 8 short films including the award-winning short film 'Zombie Asockalypse' which was featured during the Cultural Olympics. Margaret's responsibilities for Godhammer will include designing the props and costumes, production assistant and is also an excellent actress and will be playing the part of Sister Beatrice in Godhammer.
Will Samson
Studied acting part-time for three years, at Edinburgh School of Acting and at Acting Coach Scotland in Glasgow. A small part in a feature; "RSJ" produce by Rob Walker was followed by a job as James McAvoy's stand-in in the feature film "Filth" by Jon S. Baird based on Irvine Welsh novel. Next came "Nuns Of Evil" a short film by Paul Bruce, in which Will played the lead male character; "Father Walter." Also miscellaneous work as an extra.
