Hello, I'm Chad Clost and am writing on behalf of all of the Golden Knights families who's hockey player will be making a big push to win the International Silver Stick in 2015. Did you know that the International Silver Stick champions get their team name in the Hockey Hall of Fame?!!
As many of you may have just learned our Major Atom Golden Knights just did something extraordinary and won the "Regional" Silver Stick in Pembroke, ON. This huge win puts the boys into a pool of 6 teams which will compete for the Ultimate Minor hockey trophy "The International Silver Stick"
International Silver Stick Hockey Promoting Citizenship & International Goodwill
The Beginning
International Sliver Stick Hockey was the brainchild of Mr. Jack
Kinsella. It germinated while attending a friendly exhibition game in
Potsdam, New York between the Bantam Woodroffe Cardinals from Ottawa
West and the Bantam Potsdam Golden Knights in November, 1956. After
watching his son play for Woodroffe, Jack Kinsella decided a return
match should be setup to promote the game and foster “goodwill” between
the two countries. There was little ice available in Ottawa so Jack
looked to Richmond, Ontario, just west of Ottawa. Richmond had one of
the very few indoor rinks at that time. For the full story click the link below

This is where you come in- we need your help to make the boys tournament a huge success. It's not all about winning. We simply want to make this a, trip of a lifetime, for the team.
What We Need & What You Get
Mostly we need to raise money to pay for bus transportation, extra practice time, coaching specialists, t-shirts, pins etc. This tournament is above and beyond what the families had planned for. We are hoping through our larger family (YOU!) we can make this easy on everyone at a expensive time of year. This sort of crowd funding makes it easy for you to support the team because deep down we know you want to:)
- We are looking to raise $5000+ to make this a huge success
- Every dollar will go directly to the kids experience leading up to and during the tournament
- You will get the largest smiles in Ottawa and some great Perks as per the donation buttons.
Challenges We understand that it is an expensive time of year and only ask that you give what you can afford. All of the families involved take the responsibility of this experience seriously and want to share the joy of it with our extended friends and family.
