GOOD LUCK MISS WYCKOFF concerns a controversial and ultimately tragic  relationship between a lonely, white spinster high school teacher and a young Pakistani scholarship student/athlete who works at the school as a janitor in a small town US college community.

The film will be directed by critically acclaimed theatre director, Karen Carpenter from a screenplay by veteran producer Robert Weinbach, two time winner of the Houston International Screenplay competition.

The starring role of Evelyn Wyckoff is a tour de force vehicle for a major actress in this powerful and gripping contemporary version of Inge’s haunting story of ill-fated lust and sexual repression. The subtext is punctuated by the corrosive and perverse forms of political correctness rampant in modern American society and further dramatized  by issues of  racism, censorship and the virulent discrimination and abuse of women in many countries of the world today.

The film is being financed by a combination of equity participations, a Mississippi Film Incentive Rebate of $185,000, international pre-sales and crowd funding. With the support of this IndieGoGo campaign , the filmmakers will be able to maintain complete creative control of their distinctive and  powerful vision.  In today’s world of indie filmmaking. with extraordinary advances in digital cinematography , editing, post production and distribution, the filmmakers can realize Inge’s incredibly controversial and compelling story without institutional interference or censorship.

We encourage you to view our video presentation and read more about our superb creative team and our unique cinematic vision of this haunting novel by one of the 20th Century’s most powerful literary voices. With your help, we can bring this compelling and powerful story to the screen.

The Impact

We are at the stage now where the film can come together. Thus, we most appreciate your support and participation in this film project which is especially meaningful since a percentage of the revenues generated by the film will be contributed to the MALALA FUND in support of its goals to educate 63 million underprivileged children and to combat the virulent discrimination and abuse of underage girls and women in many countries of the world today.

The plague of violence against women in the world today is endemic. Each day thousands of women are beaten, abused or killed simply because of their gender, simply for Fighting for their Rights, for Freedom, for Respect, for Love, for Education. The Malala Fund strives to Help and Protect Women, the World over and to make the World a better place for all.

MALALA YOUSAFZAI: Co Recipient, 2015 Nobel Peace Prize

Malala is now 18 years old - a victim and survivor of the brutality of religious extremist fanatics - was shot in the head at age 14 for simply wanting an education. Watch Malala’s Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech at:
