Short Summary
Books have always played a vital role in society, providing an escape from the realities of this world. In the past year, with the challenges we’ve faced, that’s become more important than ever.
I published my debut novel Good Things Come in September 2020, and the book’s popularity has been very humbling for me, making regular appearances on the Amazon Best Seller lists. Available as an e-book and paperback, the idea of an audiobook was in the realm of something I’d like to do – one day.
Then my oldest friend posted a photo on social media after purchasing the paperback. When he asked if there would be an audiobook, it really hit me – I have to do this. Because my oldest friend is visually impaired, and he showed me incredible support by getting the paperback, which he can’t, in fact, read himself.
Daryl lives with a disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, a genetic disorder that affects the retina’s ability to respond to light, leading to a slow loss of vision. Funding will go towards producing an audiobook so that Daryl and those with similar challenges can have access to the story.
Producing an audiobook is a costly venture for an independent author, so I’m looking for support to cover the costs of producing this audiobook. I can’t wait to be able to provide my friend Daryl with the very first copy, because this project is dedicated to him.
What We Need & What You Get
I'm looking for $2500 in funding to assist in the costs involved with hiring a narrator and production of the audio file. Additional expenses include the audiobook cover (because it would be too easy if that were the same format as the e-book or paperback, right?). All funds pledged, whether we reach the goal or not, will go towards making the audiobook of Good Things Come a reality.
Have a look at the perks on the right-hand side, and see what catches your eye! Included are signed copies, the sequel, and original artwork!

And here's the book's description:
Liv’s always done what’s expected. But something about Chique, the newborn filly she just finessed through a difficult birth, makes her second-guess becoming a vet – even though she’s only a year and a half away from finishing the program.
She drops out – to her mother’s horror, but with her mentor’s blessing – seizing an opportunity to start her career as a jockey in New York. What has she got to lose, except a secure future and her mother’s respect? It means leaving Chique in the care of the new exercise rider, Nate Miller. At least she has enough common sense to get away from him. He’s equal parts good-looking and good with horses, and she’s not letting a man get in the way of her dreams.
She doesn’t expect Nate to become key to her hopes for Chique to run in Canada‘s most prestigious race: the Queen’s Plate. But when his bond with the filly becomes vital to the plan, Liv has a choice to make. Keep her independence, or give Chique her best shot to become the racehorse she is meant to be.
Other Ways You Can Help
If your part in this is to help spread the word, rather than a monetary contribution, that's amazing too! Please share both the project and the first chapter offer with whomever you think might be interested. Take advantage of Indiegogo's share tools!
