Not your everyday fast food
With Goodful, we wanted to solve all the issues we had with fast food. Even though it's not deep fried, is it truly healthy? Are there vegan options other than the green salad? Are you sourcing from places who treat their animals humanely? Do I really want to ask over and over again about checking labels? Well, fortunately with Goodful, those are no longer issues.
We believe that the wonderful people of Sacramento should have more options for where to get clean, organic meals than just their own kitchens. We’re not talking about smoothies and vitamin shakes here. Our menu offers satiating whole meals – complete with a kids menu, happy hour, and farm-to-fork cocktails – that are healthy, local and delicious. We also believe fast food shouldn’t come at the detriment of farmers or the earth’s well-being. So we’re actively being a upstanding member of the community, by sourcing from small, local farms, seeking to employ formerly incarcerated people, and committing a portion of our annual revenue to non-profits.

Our Food Morals
Goodful sources ALL of its food within 200 miles!! We use 100% organic produce, free range, air-chilled chicken, grassfed beef, and sustainable fish. All of our food is free of preservatives, hormones, and GMOs. We season your meals with fresh herbs, onions, and garlic. We make all of our sauces, dressings, dips from scratch - in our very own kitchen. Nothing is dried and nothing comes from jars! Even better - whether it's a choice, a restriction, or an allergy you can completely customize your meal to be raw, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, pescetarian... The options are endless!
There's a method to the madness
While we've had plenty experience in restaurants and the food industry, we still discovered the many challenges of bringing local, healthy, organic sustainable food to you quickly! Once we saw all of those challenges we said, “Nah! We’re going to do this differently.” Goodful is a modern day solution based on an ancient idea: that the farm-to-fork cycle can nourish (not deplete) all those involved from the earth, to farmer, to community and back again.
So how are we going to pull this off? The Goodful team spent the past 3 years setting up relationships with local farmers and food producers (yes, we visit the farms personally!), eco-conscious breweries and wineries, and several non-profit community organizations. We also formed The Goodful Alliance, which outlines a mutually-beneficial partnership between us and 25 (and growing) hyper-local farmers and food suppliers, as well as interested non-profits. In addition to that, we are implementing practices to run a high-efficiency, zero-waste kitchen.
Finally, our menu is built around 4 signature meals, which enables us to streamline our kitchen while keeping the flavor and quality of our ingredients high.
So welcome to the new frontier of fast food, Sacramento! This time around, it’s good for you and good for the world.
