Introducing GPIOduino
My name is Adrian and I was born in Madrid (Spain), where I lived and studied until I moved to London. I'm a Telecommunications Engineer with a great passion for software and hardware, and I've spent several years tinkering and making stuff with Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
One of the problems I had always faced while working in Arduino projects,
was the big pain and hard work I needed to do every time I wanted to swap between one project and another, and every time I needed to transport or share them.
A few months ago, I thought that it was not worth it to mount
and dismount all my projects every time and loose all my work. Not anymore! So, I
started to design my first draft of the shield.

Now, I have created GPIOduino
and I can easily work in several projects at the same time. I can
quickly swap between them and I can safely store my projects for the future.
Today, I would like to share this idea with everyone.
Why Indiegogo?
To
make the GPIOduino shield affordable and available to anyone, we need to manufacture at least 100 boards. Indiegogo is the best solution in this
case. We can offer this shield to anyone who wants it, regardless of their
location and with the same conditions.

Where are we now?
GPIOduino has already been sent to a professional PCB manufacturer and the prototype is now with us. Currently, we are testing the shield and doing awesome projects.

Compatibility?
GPIOduino is an IO extension shield compatible with the majority of Arduino boards, shields and compatible systems. However, due to our limited budget the shield has not been tested against all the products available in the market at this stage.
