Short Summary
Here we go again! Last year, fans of Gravity Falls helped raise over $8,000 to bring back the officially licensed Grunkle Stan Fez. The show has since ended but that doesn't mean we have to stop producing merchandise for the show. In fact, there's a host of new merchandise in the works right now!
The company involved with producing these items recently reacquired several key licenses that allow me to order new hats, wallets, and other items. Some of these, like the fez, were previously sold since the show began but either limited in quantity or location. Some, like the Journal 3 wallet pictured in the campaign card, have never been produced before. By helping out, you're making history.
What We Need & What You Get
I'm looking to raise at least $3000 through this campaign to help off-set the costs of the production run. This is only a small fraction of the total cost needed but will help substantially. A minimum of 576 of each headwear item and a minimum of 600 of each wallet must be ordered to be produced. This is your opportunity to get one before anyone else. Here's the breakdown of approximately where your money will go to.
~70% For the production costs of the licensed merchandise
~10% Novelty items (Items like postcards included with each fez)
~10% Shipping Supplies (Boxes, tape, labels)
~10% Fees (Indiegogo & 3rd Party fees)
By supporting this campaign you'll have the option to get the following items
-Officially licensed pine tree Dipper hat, cloth snapback, no trucker mesh
-Officially licensed wallets (barfing gnome, journal 3, and another)
-Officially licensed Waddles themed laplander
-Grunkle Stan Fez (currently already in a second run, expected by June)
-And a few more that will be revealed as the campaign goes on!
All items leftover from the production run after rewards are sent out will be available for sale on Amazon.com.
The Impact
The show has since ended a few months ago but while it was airing, Gravity Falls was one of Disney's highest rated cartoon shows. Fans everywhere who love the show would love even more to help support it by buying officially licensed merchandise approved by Disney. This campaign is to give them all the opportunity to do that.
Risks & Challenges
I've already had one successful campaign and reproduced the fezzes. I've also been working with the company and brought back two licensed t-shirts since. Once payment is submitted to the company, approximately 120 days later, varying based on individual items, the completed merchandise will arrive. Ideally, everything will arrive sometime around September.
