Two formidable lawyers specialising in defending fairytale villains meet with a Mr Rumpelstiltskin. Although his case seems pretty straightforward, what happens when the real criminal is revealed and it is not only reputations, but lives at stake as well?

In a top law firm, Grimm & Grimmer resides the offices of two of the world’s greatest fairytale defence attorneys, WILLIAM GRIMM and JACOB GRIMMER. With a reputation that strikes fear into any opposing team, these two lawyers have defended many a fabled villain, including most of your favourite bad guys. But what will happen when infamous trickster, RUMPELSTILTSKIN asks them to prosecute a poor miller’s daughter for breach of contract? This should be a walk in the park for the two lawyers, considering they have won untold cases. But when the sweet and innocent looking AGNES MILLER and her legal team turn out to be even more cunning and well-versed in the dark arts of the law than our ‘heroes,’ this seemingly open-and-shut case becomes more than William and Jacob bargained for. With reputations —and not to mention immortal souls at risk— will they lose their first, and possibly last prosecution case? 

Here’s a sneak peek of the script!

The intention of this project is to make a comedic mockumentary for an industry that has been lacking such in recent years. When writing, I naturally gravitate towards comedy and spoofs, taking "the extraordinary" and putting them in "ordinary situations", with influences from Edgar Wright, Taika Waititi and Graham Linehan. With the release of works such as 'The Office', 'This Is Spinal Tap' and 'What We Do In The Shadows,’ mainstream media was introduced to the wonderful world of mockumentary and the creativity it brings to writing and performing comedy.

With what the world has been through recently thanks largely to the pandemic and other events, I believe the we could all do with a bit of a laugh right now and I intend for this film to have that desired effect. With new and familiar characters, talented actors and a wonderfully dedicated, passionate crew, I hope 'Grimm & Grimmer' puts a smile on your face, and even causes some ugly laughing!
