Grinders equipped with conical burrs are generally easier to disassemble, clean, and calibrate compared to flat burr models, making them more aligned with our concept of a 'user-friendly' product. In addition, as a result of conducting a comparative sensory evaluation of filter coffee and espresso using various burr sizes sold on the market, we selected 63mm, which is the burr size that provides the highest level of satisfaction.

During the detailed burr design selection process, we collaborated closely with specialized manufacturing partners to initially derive various shapes of burr candidates. After making samples of all candidates, we compared and evaluated the flavor of the brewed coffee and finally selected the conical burr type that produces the well-balanced coffee that we pursue.

We have precisely processed stainless steel 420, the same material used in high-end household kitchen knives, to ensure both corrosion resistance and grinding precision. (* It is a material that can be cleaned with water by disassembling only the burr. When applying water cleaning, be sure to dry completely before reassembling.)

The design concept allows the intuitive operation of the grinder with a single main switch, evoking nostalgia for older smartphones that feature a home button.

Most household single-dose coffee grinders have the switch located at the bottom, requiring a wide range of motion for baristas to operate them. We have positioned the switch at the top of the machine, allowing it to be operated with minimal movement. Additionally, we have integrated a light function around the switch, enabling users to confirm the operational status of the device visually.

To adjust the zero point on a typical grinder, users need to learn a complex disassembly process. At Olentia, we have designed our grinder to allow zero-point adjustment without any disassembly, enhancing user convenience.

To prevent ground coffee from making a mess on your countertop due to static electricity, we have applied anti-static technology. This eliminates the need to spray water on the coffee beans, simplifying the preparation process and reducing the frequency of cleaning. This keeps the area around the grinder clean and enhances user satisfaction. (*According to our standards, adding water to the beans is prohibited unless the grinder is thoroughly cleaned and dried including internals of the grinder after each use.)

Grinding the various types of hard light roast beans, which are popular among home café users, requires a powerful motor. To protect the motor, it is generally recommended to add the beans after the motor starts running. Designing a grinder that can reliably handle these light roast beans while integrating the internal structure, motor torque, and user operation into a single cohesive design was a challenging process. However, through numerous trials and errors, we have perfected the current design.

The stepless adjustment method for grinding allows baristas to perfectly implement various brewing styles they intend.

Espresso and filter coffee settings can be adjusted for grinding without the need to turn the grinder head several times. It is designed to be resolved within one rotation range for convenience.

Includes all necessary accessories for grinder use, facilitating convenient coffee grinding. Additionally, the wooden kit provided for storing these accessories enhances the product's luxurious appeal.

In normal use, you can clean the internal powder using a chamber blower. If you want to keep the inside of the burr chamber clean, you can rotate and remove the grinder head without any tools. Additionally, the included accessories (wrench, scraper holder) allow for easy separation of the cone-burr. The scraper holder is a useful tool for safely disassembling the grinder interior and burrs without causing scratches.

Underpinning everything is our commitment to "user convenience," reflecting a design that incorporates various functionalities desired by home baristas, ensuring both ease of use and high-quality grinding performance.

Starting with the entry-level model in 2021 for home cafes, we have progressed to launching the high-end model Olentia in 2024, with plans to introduce a commercial model in 2025.
