I'm a visual artist. I love posters and I love quotes. I'm also very interested in the "Growth Mindset" and "Grit" concepts, created by two great modern psychologists, to determine the factors that lead to success. So I decided to fuse these interests in a high quality project that I hope will help you and your loved ones to succeed in life.
This project consist of two posters, each one screen printed in 4 inks over colored paper. The images had been created with an insane attention to detail, from the fonts to the colors to the textures, to configure a nice pair depicting two contemporary athletes that represent very well what each quote talks about. The selected color schemes are dark in order to give the images the awesome quality of gig and movie posters!

"Some people say they haven't yet found themselves. But the self isn't something one finds; it is something one creates."
This is one of my favorite quotes, said by famous psychiatrist Thomas Szasz. This text is found in "The Second Sin" book, that compiles hundreds of excerpts from his books and essays. And to illustrate this powerful sentence, I got inspired by Nawid Reinermann, a famous disabled functional fitness athlete from Germany, who is a perfect example of self creation and improvement, not caring about what society says you must be or are capable of. This "self building" aspect is symbolically represented in the image by the subtle brick texture in the background. I've adapted the original quote to make it suitable for the poster.

This is a quote by the one and only Michael Jordan. It was first featured in a Nike tv advertisement, but made such an impact that it has become part of the global culture. However, beyond the commercial agenda behind this add, this quote represents better than any other the "Growth Mindset" concept developed by Carol Dweck. She has actually stated that Jordan is a prime example of growth mindset. This thinking is symbolically represented in the image by the subtle wood texture in the background. I've shortened the original quote to make it suitable for the poster.

I need to make at least 60 prints of each poster. That's the minimum amount for this campaign to be successful.
For that reason, it would be great if you order both posters instead of one (besides, you will save $10!!), but of course you are free to order the poster you like!
The money you contribute with will be used mostly for the printing job, but also to buy the shipping tubes and papers, and to back the overall logistics involved in this process. To guarantee the best quality of the prints, the printers will be the expert folks of Delicious Design League in Chicago, USA.

In order to combat costs, I am having each backer pay for shipping. All shippings will be made through USPS Standard mail within USA, and USPS First Class Mail for international deliveries. The chart below shows the shipping fee that will be charged to every perk.

This is my first crowdfunding campaign but as you can see I'm very organised and I've planned everything ahead. The designs are ready. The Delicious Design League are expert screen printers with more than 10 years of experience. Shippings will be made through USPS and they know their business. There's a first time for everything, and this is my own here. I promise to be as strict to the plan as posible.
