The world of Grumpy Witch is populated by a wide range of weird and wonderful characters. Here's just a few of the faces you can expect to encounter on your journey through Galice:
![]()
Emilia Sorelda vam Quis: Twelve years old. Incredibly precocious, very grumpy. (Surprise!) Looking for some peace and quiet, Emilia took up residence in the forests of Mount Albans two years back. Now her Hat, which has been in the family for centuries, has been stolen, and her home transformed into a floating island. This is what you might consider rude. Emilia certainly does, and she will not have it.
Fonelle, Witch Queen of Galice: The cause of all Emilia’s problems. Using the magic of the Emilia’s Hat, Fonelle has created a magical land combining pieces of several other realms - including a chunk of Emilia's homeworld, Alderland, on which our heroine now finds herself stranded.
![]()
Barbinus: A fat, greedy spirit that has taken up residence in Emilia’s oven. A font of magic and knowledge, Barbinus will give Emilia items and information in exchange for cakes and other goodies.
Mala Meia: Shrewd and calculating, Mala Meia is an envoy dispatched by The Most Beautiful, supreme ruler of Galice's faekind, to treat with Emilia.
![]()
Badazel, the Simurgh: Appointed guardian of the Isle of Misery, Badazel's nest is festooned with bright silks and other luxuries picked up during her centuries of existence. Though strong and usually wise, she's more than a little vain.
![]()
Chieftain Kabbo: Leader of a luckless goblin tribe that's taken up residence on Mount Albans - and the first target of Emilia's wrath. Distressingly fond of crates.
Zurba (Just... Zurba): Mistress of the Maelstrom. Though far closer to Emilia’s age than the rest of Fonelle's lieutenants, Zurba is just as powerful - and, like the storms she likes to summon up, every bit as unpredictable and violent.

Banok the Mighty: Ogre wizard Banok rules over the rocky plains and canyons of the Towerlands with an authority bordering on outright tyranny. Though a magic user, his connection to the earth isn’t intellectual - he seems to be some sort of... muscle... wizard?
Malsa the Ghost Queen: Queen of the ancient, magical kingdom of Ramilia - the last, thanks to an eldritch disaster that befell the land. Now Malsa's realm is inhabited only by the ghosts of her former subjects, over whom she rules - and cares for - from the crumbling ruins of her castle.
Arshes, Flame Lord of Carus: Lord of the burning lands of Carus, Arshes is something of - well, let’s not beat around the bush, shall we? He’s a bratty jerk, which, when combined with considerable magical powers, leads to certain disaster. Naturally, he needs to be taken down.
Survan of Ezurbar: Until recently, the elder sage of Ezurbar lived in a castle carved into the side of a glacier, far from the rest of his kinsmen. Now he lives in the royal palace, has turned most of Ezurbar's population into ice sculptures, and lets Fonelle’s monsters have the run of the realm.
Jorin the Songweaver: A failed bard who discovered his own latent magical talents, Jorin has been tutored and shaped into a High Wizard by Fonelle herself - making him not only entirely loyal to her, but rather creepily devoted and slavish. He has transformed his realm into a place of music and song... so long as those songs are composed in Fonelle’s honor.

We’ve been hexing away at Grumpy Witch since late 2015. Until now, our development has been paid by self-financing and private investment, but to deliver a game with a depth, variety, and polish that’ll really do justice to our concept, we need to find additional sources of funding.
Crowdfunding, which has acted as a launchpad for a lot of great, innovative titles over the last couple of years, is an exciting opportunity for us to connect directly with fans and players. Your support not only keeps our development team going, but lets us show publishers and investors that there's real demand for games like Grumpy Witch out there.

At $150,000, Emilia gets to unleash her creative side with a full-fledged crafting system! Working together with friendly oven butler Barbinas, she can combine all manner of random junk to create new items, weapons, mounts, and even costumes. We'll also be including more customization options, opening the door to even wilder Witchsonas!
$200,000 - More Content + Pets!
At this funding level, each of the realms gains another new level, bringing the game up to a whopping 39! But that's not all - Emilia will receive a fresh selection of new outfits and accessories, and can even adopt a pet to accompany her in her journeys.
$250,000 - Still More Content + Playstation 4 Release!

If we clear $400,000 in funding, we'll be able to hire the translators and actors needed to localize Grumpy Witch into one language chosen by backer polls, complete with a new voiceover track! This funding level will also give us the resources to develop an XBox One port, bringing the game to two major consoles.
$450,000 - More Coolness!
Extra mounts! Extra weapons! Pets that can actually fight with Emilia! In short: more coolness for everybody.
$500,000 - Upgraded Artbooks + Nightmare Difficulty Mode!
