Guardian
Story:
Guardian follows former United States Marine combat veteran Jason Cash, from being stranded in the Hindu Kush mountains of northern Pakistan for four years to his fateful rescue and return to civilization. The story follows him in and around his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona and his transformation to a costumed hero fighting to protect those who can’t protect themselves all while honoring a promise he made to his brother. Guardian will run for 8 seasons (170 episodes)
Seasons 1-7 : 40-43 minutes per episode, with 21-23 episodes per season. Season 8 will be the final season with a 10 episode count at 40-43 minutes per episode. The final episode will act as a backdoor pilot episode for a future spin off.
Guardian will spawn multiple franchises and introduce the audience to heroes, villains, and amazing story arcs, complete with twists, turns, magic, romance, anger, suspense, love triangles, and laughter.
Guardian has been my baby for the last three years. I took my inspiration from various other outlets, including the United States military, and both DC and Marvel comic books. I was able to write all 170 episodes during the height of the covid-19 pandemic, I was still working overnight as a security guard at the time. I yes am a newer film maker, not much under my belt but i don't back down from a challenge and I don't and can't for the life of me give up on a dream that is 3 years in the making, call me stubborn, crazy, that's fine, I am passionate and I believe in this project with every cell in my body. I am the lead writer, creator and I will be lead acting in Guardian. I have an amazing equally passionate, dedicated and hard working cast and crew behind me.
This Indiegogo campaign is to raise the needed funds to film the pilot episode, other campaigns will be launched to raise funds per episode.
Short Summary
My name is Christopher Lee Burton. I am 34 years old and I'm from Long Island, New York. My mother was a pre school teacher for fifteen years. My father was an HVAC technician in New York City. They are now both retired. My father has been battling Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) for close to eighteen years now. He truly is an iron man and the rock of our family.
I created this project three years ago; my own version of my all time favorite tv series, “Arrow”. I loved every minute of every episode and I sat down one night during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic and started writing. Guardian was born. This project means the everything to me and I want to be able to bring it to life and share it with the world.
What We Need & What You Get
In a perfect world our budget is set to ($60-$80K PER EPISODE). As a newer film maker $60-$80k per episode I know is far fetched but doable, a much more realistic goal per episode is $20-$40k per episode.
