GUILT is the disturbing story of Bailey, a young professional from New York, who, after a date with a co-worker is accused of battery and assault. However, Bailey might not be guilty after all, but will anyone believe her version of the story?
GUILT is a gloves-off, up-close examination of the hotbed issue of sexual consent.

The film is a comment on rape culture and toxic social constructions, inspired by the many #MeToo and #WhyIdidntreport stories from the past couple of years. It brings up questions such as ‘who is believed in a he-said-she-said-situation?’ ‘What makes a victim?’ ‘Where does the line go between self-defense and excessive use of force?’
GUILT is written to be a conversation starter. It is set during the aftermath of the assault and will focus on the emotional damage rather than physical violence.

Hello friends! Nice to meet you and thank you for taking your time reading this! My name is Ellinor Skeppström. I’m a filmmaker and director, currently enrolled at the New York Film Academy and this is my thesis film. I’ve been creating videos for over 10 years and spent my last 4 years in marketing as a producer and editor at Sweden’s leading streaming service.
In my teens, I wanted to become a lawyer. Graduating from an economics and law gymnasium program in Stockholm, I wrote a report about sexual assault convictions. The study was made through an extensive amount of reading, as well as interviews with the police, a criminal professor and a victim.
The survivor's words stayed with me. This is not her story, although it is for her, and every single person that have been harassed, assaulted, shamed.

So what will your money be used for?’. Below is the major investments where your generosity will make a difference.
Locations - A huge part of making this film look and feel authentic is what locations we can acquire.
Costumes and set design - To bring the characters to life we will invest in their clothes and spaces.
Original score and Sound design - As much as films are visual, the sound is as important. This is not a pop song kind of movie, this movie deserves a well made score as well as great sound design.
A happy set - The first step to a creating a movie is providing for your cast and crew, and we want to feed and accommodate our team in the best possible way.
Other ways to help: Are you in New York and have a space we can borrow? Costumes to lend us or a restaurant to cater?
