Welcome to the HAMMER Comic book campaign...

Imagine a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world taken to the next level, where Ragnarok reigns. Midgard, our Earth, is a wasteland. The  legendary artifacts of Asgard are falling to Midgard where the fabled nordic gods of myths are coming to take them back!

HAMMER, An epic black & white comic book series spanning 10 staggering 48 page issues, is a labor of love and the culmination of my admiration for the storytelling medium of comics and my infatuation with post-apocalyptic movies and comics

The first epic issue of HAMMER is a 48 page black & white comic created, written and illustrated by Jason Crager.  Lettering and fonts are by vetreran comic inker Marco Galli and designer Robin Spehar.

Dan will he writing 4 pages of prose with a  accompanying illustration by Jason  (Lords of the Cosmos) Lenox and inked by Jason Crager.

                                                              The Story of HAMMER

HAMMER is a high octane thrill ride into the post-apocalyptic future of man. Artifacts have begun to rain down on to Midgard ( Earth ). The middle Realm is in chaos!
 

The World:

Society has broken down, trade and tech are the currency of the wasteland. The earth is in shambles, several hundred years after the fall of man.
 

Our story begins with a young zone tracker by the name of Star. The Zone is her wasteland home, where many a day she scraps to survive.
 

Stars life changes forever as she takes on the burden and the responsibility of becoming the next GOD OF THUNDER.

Danger and mystery block Star of Midgards every move. Wasteland bandits, Canners, Techeads, Scrappers and Manos the like all vying for the ultimate prize.

The HAMMER of the GODS

The Villians:

Loki, the Grinning God.

Hell bent on ruling the broken societies of Midgard and bending its peoples to his MAD agenda.

Gasser

Loki's right hand man.

He runs Loki's everyday operations seeking artifacts so his master may use them against the people of Midgard.

Large wasteland warriors, the toxic environment of the wasteland can wreak havoc on its inhabitants. 

The Draugr. 

Sentient robots of yester-year roaming the wasteland for any power sources that may be used to rebuild their fallen brothers and sisters.

STAR OF ASGARD

 My love for Comic books began in the 8th grade with my introduction to the amazing title, Marshal Law.

Ironically it was shown to me by my now art partner Jason Gonzalez (creator of the luchador comic, La Mano Del Destino and owner of Castle and Key Publications who is producing HAMMER).

I knew right then and there I wanted to draw comics. So began the arduous task of learning the incredible art form of comics. My love for indie black & white comics grew from there into an obsession. As my comic book collection grew so did my talent.

In 1992, at the age of 18, I became an inking assistant for Harris Comics and since then, comics became my life after that. I moved up the industry ranks from ink assistant to inker, then to a penciler. A few years later, I learned the production and publication side when I became the art director at Avatar Publications (2000-2001). My time there was full, with art direction, prepress production and lettering by day and artist and inker by night.

My love for comics has never waned.

In 2009, after many projects and commission work, I began sculpting and it became my new obsession. I really felt like an artist then, but I wasn't done.

10 years later HAMMER was born

This Project is the culmination of 28 years of art experience put into a single comic title.

The Good News: 

The book is 70 % done, I'm waiting on a few of the contributors to wrap up their end of things than on to lettering and off to printing. I would like to deliver this product early to all my backers. I have set the delivery date at January 1st 2021, I feel this is much more time than I really need and will try for a November delivery date.

The Bad News

This is my first campaign.. Please feel free to ask questions about the campaign. I will answer any and all questions. I know that this platform requires sharing and participation for any campaign to be successful.

So I leave this in the hands of the Patrons. Without you I would never be able to take this journey and id love to bring you all along on this adventure ride!
