When Hannah was just 2 years old she become very ill and no doctors were able to help us . Finally just a few short days before Hannah's third birthday she stopped breathing . Emergency air lifted to bc children's hospital in Vancouver where she was finally diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer . She became third in the world to have what she did . Rhabdomyosarcoma and it had spread through her whole body . Surgery after surgery and a long 18 month battle Hannah finally beat cancer in October of 2013 . We could finally start breathing again . Only 3 short weeks later we got the shock of our lives when Hannah was now diagnosed with leukaemia . If this wasn't bad enough doctors had to sit us down and tell us that Hannah's leukaemia was caused from treatment . A chemo drug caused Hannah's cancer and now beating cancer would be very hard . She needed a stem cell transplant in order to save her life . Our story went world wide looking for a donor and over 50,000 people signed up in hopes to save her life . It was successful and matches were found but then doctors told us even more bad news that this transplant could not be done . In order to have this transplant they would have to give her radiation and high doses of chemotherapy which would cause organ failure and death . Our only option now is a very rare haplo transplant which would require me ( her mother ) to under go surgery to have my stem cells removed and be given to Hannah in hopes that my body would fight off her bad cells as I protected her well carrying her in my tummy they hope my body will try and protect her again . If Hannah's body fights back we will lose the fight and cancer will win . They gave us 2 options . 1 to walk away and do palliative care for up to 2 years or do this transplant which is a 40 percent chance Hannah will die next month in transplant due to organ failure . Both are horrible choices . No one has been able to work and our expenses are huge . We hope to raise money in order to buy Hannah every craft she wants to help pass the 100 days of transplant and to help cover some expenses back home .
