Following the success of our recent feature films the multi award winning  "The Shepherd" and "The Basement” we are working on  a mind-blowing thriller full of unprecedented twists that will ensure a gripping feature with “HAUNTING TROPHIES”. 

We've already shot 29 days, so the principal photography is completed, and now we need your help to finish this project.

STORY

A young man hiking deep in the woods finds a mutilated female corpse manipulated in a bizarre manner. Shocked by the discovery, the man realizes that he is not alone on the scene. The murderer starts hunting him in order to protect his identity. The man begins to run for his life and shortly he finds a kidnapped girl who is next in line to be slaughtered.

The man manages to break free with the girl and the police are soon on the scene but things become more complicated:  it turns out that the murderer works for the police, and he is in charge of this investigation. A bloody and cruel manhunt begins in the wilderness, and the young couple have to fight not only for their lives, but also for their innocence.

PREVIOUS TITLES

Thanks to many lovely people around the world we were able to produce two feature films through Indiegogo. Both titles were quite successful, and we were able to make deals with distributors so our movies were officially released almost all over the world.

THE SHEPHERD (2019)

Making this movie was a life-changing experiment for all of us. We've won 31 awards all over the world, and the movie was released in many countries all over the world.

STORY:  Hungary, 1944 - The main character is an old shepherd, who lives alone on a ranch. After his daughter got killed by Nazis, he decided in his grief to save as many Jewish lives as possible.

THE BASEMENT (2017)

Our first feature film was a horror film, ‘The Basement’, that was officially released in 29 countries theatrically, on DVD, Blu-Ray, VOD, and Television winning raves reviews from audiences. 

STORY: A group of international students explores a basement that has been abandoned for years. But what starts off as an exploratory séance ends in bloody mayhem when a malicious entity is summoned.

He began making independent films when he was 13 years old and has continued his passion for film to present day. Currently, he is directing feature films, documentaries and commercials. Throughout the years, he directed dozens of music videos, and also worked as 1st Assistant Director in Hungarian features, international films, commercials. 

Illés’ independent personality carries through to his films, which have been primarily financed through crowdfunding and private investors. He owns his production company (Intergalactic Productions), which enables him to pursue his passion and make top quality, critically acclaimed independent films for international sale. 

His first feature film was a horror film, ‘The Basement’, in which he served as director and producer. The Basement was released in more than 40 countries and on DVD, Blu-Ray, VOD, and Television winning rave reviews from audiences. It was also theatrically released in Hungary and available on NETFLIX in many regions.

The Shepherd was his second feature film as a director. It is a historical drama, which takes place in Europe during WWII. The main character is an old shepherd, who lives alone on a ranch. After his daughter gets killed by German soldiers, he decides in his grief to save as many Jewish lives as possible. Throughout the film, the Shepherd is faced with many difficult challenges, the most difficult culminating: to save the life of a Jewish family, a wounded girl, or himself from the German soldiers. The movie won 31 international awards, László Illés received more than 20 awards in best directing, best script and best movie category.

Haunting Trophies is his biggest project so far with an €500.000 budget. It’s a mind-blowing thriller full of unprecedented twists and a unique and high-quality look.

GERGELY TÓTH

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Gergely Tóth has been working as a DOP for more than 20 years. He has already shot hundreds of music videos, commercials, documentaries and many short films. Gergely and Laszlo are working together for a decade, he was the director of photography of all his titles and many of Illes’s projects. He owns his own production company Pannonia Pictures, focusing on commercials, event videos and camera rental.

ARTHUR VALENTIN GRÓSZ

MUSIC COMPOSER

Arthur Valentin Grósz co-operates in numerous Hungarian and international productions as composer, orchestrator, conductor and keyboardist. Arthur has been playing piano since the age of 4 and started creating short compositions around this time. He received his master’s degree in composing and teaching at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. In his music and work, non-genre creation plays an important role; he likes to combine styles; however, his classical qualification enhances symphonic orchestration. He has been writing film scores since 2004, a key point of which was a concert together with Ennio Morricone, where he performed as a keyboardist. 

He has composed over 40 film scores; one of which is the multi-award-winning music of the drama “The Shepherd” directed by László Illés (Los Angeles Film Awards, Oniros Film awards, etc.). The movie is also available on Netflix. 

His underscores for TV series (Keresztanyu; Hotel Margaret, etc.) regularly appear in major television channels’ productions (RTL Klub, TV2, MTV). He has also written music for theater plays and musicals. He composed the symphonic overture of the European Youth Olympics Festival (EYOF) for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Győr and the Győr Ballet, presented in front of an audience of 16 000 people, aired live on 50 TV channels. His compositions also appear in video games. 

As an example: numerous music publications written for game developer company ZEN Studios co-developed with world famous enterprises, such as Universal Studios or DreamWorks. As an orchestrator and keyboardist, he is a regular participant of the HAVASI Symphonic concert series, and he also makes orchestrations and orchestral transcriptions for countless performers. 

Not only as an arranger, but also as a music producer and a conductor he participates in symphonic orchestral recordings of international movies and games; just to mention a few, he has worked on movies such as Misconduct (cast: Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino) or Misfits (cast: Pierce Brosnan), and also the score of Patrick Doyle’s IT. 

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP?

We couldn't be more thankful to all our previous supporters, because with their help we were lucky enough to start living our dreams and make feature films. 

We have been working in the film industry passionately for more than a decade, so we learnt how to make high-quality movies with a small budget, but we are not able to create something with no money at all. 

Even though almost every crew member is supporting the movie with their free work and we are using our own equipment (camera, lightning, grip), we needed money for travel, accommodation, locations, props, costumes, practical effects, extras, rental.

We've successfully completed the principal photography a month ago, we had 29 shooting days in total.

To be able to finish the movie we need funding for the following items:

- Editing

- Color Grading

- Recording the score with an orchestra

- Sound Post-production

- Dubbing

- Mixing sound in a theatre

- VFX

- Poster

- Festival fees
