Water is something that most of us take for granted on a daily basis. It's also something that we need on a daily basis. Not everyone has this luxury. By donating to this cause, you will be helping establish a borehole in rural Swaziland, a small country in southeastern Africa with the highest HIV prevalence rate in the entire world. This borehole will allow a Swazi family to have access to clean water on a daily basis. Currently, this family does not have consistent or reliable access to water. There are community water taps that work, at most, a few days a week for a couple of hours. However, these are unreliable and will cease to run at all for months at a time. Rain is collected during the rainy season (2-3 months out of the year at most), but again, the weather is unpredictable and undependable. As this family lives in the hottest and, therefore, driest part of the country, most rivers are nonexistent or dried up and thus not a viable option for collecting water. A borehole will provide a consistent, reliable, and safe, clean water source for this family 24/7. All contributions will go directly to the preparing (surveying, drilling, testing) and building of the borehole.
