Hi there, I'm Faye.
I'm a Marketing Officer and I've been working on arts Festivals here in the UK since 2005.
Earlier this year, I applied to attend The Atelier in Edinburgh in 2014. This is an intense training programme run by the European Festivals Association for up and coming arts Festival managers. Last month I was delighted to receive an email telling me I had been accepted for the course.
This is an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity.
In the long term I hope to create my own arts Festival here in the North West. The training programme will be taking place in April 2014. The remainder of the course fee is 1,800 euros (currently around £1,500) which I need to raise by January 2014. My target is £500 and I'm very grateful for all support given.
I believe Festivals are an excellent means to encourage global citizenship, interaction with the arts and culture and a way for varied audiences to meet and interact. I believe in the power of the arts to effect change from every level from a large scale production to the most personal, intimate and individual experience, this is why I want to become a Festival Manager and why I feel The Atelier would be incredibly valuable to me.

For £5 you get an amazing thank you and a big hug. Your belief in me is all part of my long term goals.
For £10 you get a postcard from me in Edinburgh. I'll let you know how things are going and how your funding has helped. You also get my autograph!
For £20 I will send you some sweets from Edinburgh! Sorry folks, I can only do this for UK funders as I know foodstuffs might not get through to internationals. However, if you are from outside the UK, I'll send you a little gift from Edinburgh as part of my grateful thanks.
For £50 I will send you something special from the UK - can't say what as it might spoil the surprise!
For £100 I will complete up to 25 hours voluntary work for a north west based arts organisation, it could be anything from marketing to simply helping out. If you are someone who works in the arts or an arts organisation, do let me know.
For £250 I will complete up to a further 50 hours voluntary work. If you are an arts organisation or arts professional working in any art form from anywhere in the world, please keep in contact, there may be future opportunities for positive ways of working together.
