Hello! My name is Mackenzie Kimbrel.
I started dancing at the young age of 3 years old and 17 years later it is still my greatest passion in life. I grew up in Olympia, WA dancing at my local studio, Johansen Olympia Dance Center. Currently I am a sophomore at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA working towards my Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. I am grateful to be able to dance at school year round but it is essential to continue my dance training over the summer. With that said, I have been accepted to the Joffrey Ballet School: Jazz and Contemporary summer intensive. This is a three week program in New York City where I will be able to work with many choreographers, learn different dance forms, meet new people, and explore the city!
My goal is to raise $4,000
Tuition, Room/Board: $3,674
Round Trip Plane Ticket: $500
Other Fees: $1000 (uniform, registration, transportation, etc.)
Everything I do over these next two years is critical for my professional dance career in the future. Attending the Joffrey Ballet School summer program in New York will be a great opportunity for me! I will be surrounded by amazing dancers and company artists from around the world and experience a city I’ve never been to before. Dancing in New York has always been a dream of mine and your support will help me get there!
Even if you cannot contribute please spread the word! Anything helps!
Thank you for your support!!
