The Crossmen are a non-profit organization. We are a music performing group. The Crossmen perform a different show every summer across the nation, we-as a group-travel from state to state performing almost every night. We work hard as a team of 150 members, we sleep on high school gym floors and we travel by night on charter buses. As a group we rehears for three weeks in the summer, for 12 hours a day every day of the week. My hope is to spend this summer marching and performing with The Crossmen. Marching with the Crossmen is my biggest passion and has fueled my passion for music, and has driven me to become a music educator. The activity itself has an age limit. Participants must be from 14-21, because of the expenses I can only afford one more year, hopefully with your help.
As a music educator, marching and performing with the Crossmen has offered me connections into the music world that could help me in my future career path. My dream is to spend another great summer learning and performing with such a great group.
What I need from contributors like you!
- The Tuition for this program is a total of 2,750. The tuition pays for the following:
- Pays the teaching staff summer Salary
- The busses and fuel costs needed to transport 150 members, staff, equipment and food across the Nation while on tour
- Other needs of the corps
What Your Contribution Means!
- Many individuals find that after marching they have created a mass web of connections into the music world. How ever we spend more time with the rest of the members then any one else. We spend three months, crammed into a bus seat, packed into a gym or scattered around a field where we practice for 16 hours a day with each other. We build long lasting relationships. Relationships that help benefit our future as music educators.
