Help rescue our junkyard cat
For the last year and a half, I have been taking care of a stray cat at my apartment complex. When I first started attempting to interact with her she was emaciated and extremely timid. Over several months of feeding her, she finally stopped fleeing at the sight of me, and started to become a pleasantly plump cat. She now lives in the “junkyard” area of my complex and only has a tipped over garbage can, and whatever random furniture may be in there at any given time, for shelter. There is currently a lot of foot traffic and the area is a always changing and dangerous; so, my boyfriend and I hoping to take her into our home. Due to my boyfriend being in school and my low disposable income it is proving difficult to free up the $250 needed to have her spayed, immunized, and registered. No matter the outcome of this project we still plan to save our princess; however, it's a matter of when and at this point it doesn't seem like it will be in time for winter and we are terrified at the idea of her spending another year out in the cold.
We are looking for a minimum of $250 to get her ready to be brought into our home. If we raise anything over the initial goal we will put the first $100 towards making certain she gets a proper litter box and a cat tree to insure she has a comfortable life with us. And anything over the total $350 we will donate to the Seattle humane society.
