Hi. My name is Sarah Rose.
I play in the Atlanta-based vaudeville rock and roll band Sarah and the Safe Word with six of my best friends. We recently played the 2017 Vans Warped Tour, and have previously opened for bands like Metro Station, The Spill Canvas, and Wednesday 13. Before that, I spent 10 years playing in the nerd rock band Go, Robo! Go!
When I'm not doing music, I work in LGBTQ advocacy - an issue that's important to me as an open and proud transgender and queer woman.
A dream of mine has always been to record an album of jazz and blues songs. While music has taken me a lot of places, I've never had the opportunity to explore this side of the musical spectrum in the way that I've wanted to. I've decided that now is time. With the help of some of my talented musical friends, I'm planning to record an album of some of my favorite jazz and blues songs through the lens of my own interpretation.
I need your help. As a lot of you know, music is an expensive process - especially the recording side of it. With your help and funding, I can work in a studio with experienced producers and engineers, compensate musicians, and produce a quality listening experience. With your help, I know we can make something amazing.
