My wife and I came in San Diego from France few years ago. I was 15 years old when I decided that I wanted to live in the US. So after working in the restaurant business for many years and later as real estate marketing and sales director, after more than 20 Road Trips in the US, we decided to realize the project of my life: coming back to my first job and my adoptive country and open a restaurant in Southwest of America. I sold everything I had, we left the France with few luggage, and we bought a business in partnership with another french couple.
Unfortunately we had to close it 1 year later because of the seller, a french guy too, who scammed us, gave us false papers, and make us loose all our money. When we realize that we were victim of a financial cavalry, it was too late and we had to run the business until it was no more possible to have a chance to save it. It was a heartbreak, our customers were sad and tried to support us as they could, but we had to be realistic, it was done. We had to leave everything to the landlord, who was really a kind man, patient with us. He tried to help us, but both of us knew that it would take too long time.
We lost everything, and all the money we had.
But we didn't give up, we decided to stay here, and to try to find a solution to have enough money to buy or rent another business. And Covid came. We struggled for few years, but we continued to work in the restaurant catering and chef at home business. Enough to live here, not enough to invest.
Now it's really time to find a solution.
We need your help to be able to rent a new business.
We love this country, everything here, the way of life and the people. Our best customer who became our best American friend said with a smile: "You deserve to stay here, You are more American than some of us". (No offense of course)
We're looking for a place in California but also in Nevada.
