WHY ARE WE ASKING FOR YOUR WONDERFUL HELP ONCE AGAIN?
Last year we did a crowdfunder to raise funds to Tour this year. We raised £10K which was AMAZING! THANKYOU to everyone who contributed! We asked for £20K because that it what we needed to be able to do everything we had set to do this year. We thought we could raise the rest ourselves after the campaign ended but as the costs for things have gone up and that money has been all used up on Touring needs, we look to you to please help us get the remaining funds needed to be able to do everything!
UK SHOWS
For the first time, we have put on this entire UK Headline Tour ourselves (except for one date). That means we paid for/are paying for every venue hire ourselves, every sound person cost, every door person cost, opener band fees, sessions fees, travel to & from each city, accommodation, etc. About half has been paid for already with the other half still needing to be paid for. We can't wait to see you all! Thankyou to everyone who has got their tickets so far! The reason advance tickets are so important is to help pay for the Tour itself so we're very grateful to those who have got theirs already; this is gonna be the best time! :D
EU SHOWS
Last year we were offered an AMAZING support slot for Psyclon Nine's EU Tour this summer. We knew it would cost a lot of money to do; that's why we did the campaign to begin with, but we didn't realise just how much the costs would be until we got the full Tour list. Because P9 were doing their US Tour first and working on their new album, they hadn't finalised EU dates until recently so we were only given the list a week or so ago. We saw that we were playing 7 EU shows over 16 days because of P9 doing festival slots in-between, so there will be a lot more costs than originally thought. Portugal to Finland is a 49 hour drive and Finland to Germany is a 44 hour drive so there are a LOT of costs that we weren't able to calculate until we got the Tour list. We have to pay our driver for each day he drives and we have to accommodate 3 people instead of 2. It's a very costly affair!
We can't WAIT to perform for you all on the road! We are SO excited! This is the biggest opportunity of PA's career so far & this is the biggest year of PA so far! Your help here will make all of this go as smoothly as possible :)
CORPSE DOLLIES
On the last campaign, as perks we put up the corpse-painted dollies I (Vicious) made for the "No memories, no dreams" music video. I also made the first corpse-painted Tubbies for it. They all sold so well! So after the campaign I took around £1.5K of my own money and bought loads of porcelain dolls, Teletubbies, barbie dolls, princess dolls, and started corpse-painting them all and "Corpse Dollies" was born! I started selling them on the PA website as a way to continue to make money to fund the upcoming Touring. I even bought a few trader tables at alternative markets to sell them in person & they went down a treat!
Left I have about 140 dolls & tubbies & our front room is fuckin filled with these little demons haha. As you can see from the sheer amount of them on the campaign, I have been very busy!! Each one that gets adopted means you're helping fund Touring! Art funding art! We don't just want you to hand over money, we want you to get something for it! I've been painting these basically since the campaign ended last summer & I've slaved over each one, making them all unique & beautiful <3 We hope they'll all find spooky new homes :)
OTHER PERKS ON THE CAMPAIGN
In my workroom, I have boxes of wonderful nostalgic items I've accumulated over the years. The first PA Ticket from the first PA show in 2012, my personal first copy of each album, posters from shows dating back to 2012, the infamous Vicious Pisscious poster ;) These are all hard for me to part with but I think it's rather beautiful to use my past to fund my future <3 I've worked so hard over my career & I have the memories in my head so I'd love these one of a kind items to go to someone who truly cares & would want something like that :) I will send all things out as soon as you get them!
I've also included a perk to join my karaoke Patreon stream! Four times a year I do karaoke on my Patreon; a live stream where I sing songs, I drink, I talk to you guys, we have fun together! It's always amazing! On April 4th it's my birthday karaoke stream (my actual birthday is on the 8th) & this is your chance to join it & have fun with me! :)

THE NEW ALBUM
I (Vicious) have been writing the new album for the last 6 months! I have been using all band funds & all my personal funds to do so. I write all the music from home but I need to go into a professional recording studio to do all the vocals so I've spent a couple thousand on studio time so far to do that. My voice only lasts so many hours before it starts to conk out so more sessions rather than longer sessions is unfortunately what I have to do and, annoyingly, more costly. But I know this is going to be the best PA album EVER so I want it done right! I want the album fully finished on my end, sent off for mixing, before we head off on Tour so I can focus solely on performing without worrying about still having to finish the album so in order to get it done before May, I need to keep using my personal funds to make it happen.
I'm trying to do so many things at once & I KNOW we can get it all done, this is why we just thought the best thing to do is to ask for help here. This business is cruel; there's no money in it. I work way too hard to be this poor but it's just the way it is :( There's no money in streaming, most people don't buy music, the fees usually cover overheads, you don't always even get a fee, travel costs go up all the time, hotel costs, studio costs, merch costs, postal services become more extortionate every year, etc etc. I've personally never taken a wage from Pretty Addicted in 13 years & I've used all my own money on it. I don't need money personally, money isn't really the goal (luckily ha) but as long as I can feed myself & my cats, make Touring happen, keep making albums & spend my life being creative, that's all I need! To make Tour happen this year, I need you, WE need you. I hate to do another campaign but it's unfortunately needed.
