Work Evolution Laboratories (WE Labs) provides a stimulating atmosphere for creative professionals to thrive through shared resources and knowledge.
WE Labs is the destination for entrepreneurs looking to build their business in Long Beach and require a local creative professional network to do so. Our goal is to foster the connection between businesses and creative individuals as well as increase their productivity, enhance credibility and take their ambition to the next level. WE are a supportive startup community that inspires, innovates, and collaborates together.
And to do that, WE Labs needs help from the people who are invested in keeping Long Beach, and particularly the Downtown Long Beach area, on the cutting edge of the tech and creative fields. People like you.
Why does WE Labs need your help?
After searching many available spaces in the downtown area, we found the perfect layout on the 8th floor of the Pacific Southwest Building at the corner of Long Beach Blvd. and Broadway (see the Gallery tab above for floorplan and pictures of the new space).
The funds we raise here will be used for costs associated with moving into our new larger space, and to equip that space with the resources our members need, such as large format printers, communal computer worksations with creative software, mobile phone privacy booths, video screens and projectors for the conference rooms, and other cutting edge tech, as well as special build-outs needed to facilitate these amenities.
What will you receive in return?
For your monetary support you will receive rewards in the form of membership packages that you may either use yourself, or transfer to an approved associate or organization. They also include an allotted number of weekday and weekend event reservations where WE Labs will provide space and planning assistance, allowing you to hold ongoing seminars, workshops, fundraisers, and more!
These reward packages are designed in order for our backers to fully utilize the WE Labs experience, or they can donate their membership to employees, volunteers, or any associate approved by WE Labs. With donations $1000 and over, you will receive an allotment of weekday and/or weekend events complete with planning assistance, which can be a valuable marketing tool for any business or organization.
How does WE Labs benefit it's members?
WE Labs is a fully equipped collaborative workspace for creative professionals. Our members pay a flat rate for all the tools necessary to get the job done - workspace, printers, fax machines, commercial grade wi-fi, conference room, collaborative tools, hot coffee and more. In addition, we assist our members in the marketing of their businesses, within the walls of WE Labs and to the Long Beach business community at large, via professional networking through monthly mixer events as well a variety of other in-house consulting services. WE Labs encourages tech developers, artists and other creative/design-based businesses to operate in the heart of Downtown Long Beach, allowing them to experience the potential for success within the city firsthand.
Why is the WE Labs community important to the economic landscape of Downtown Long Beach at this crucial juncture?
Our most important resource is the community of creative professionals we have cultivated and continue to build. WE Labs is an inspiring venue that is conducive to the collaborative nature of that community. It is used as a communal workspace, where members work on collaborative projects and host special events, enriching the economic vitality of Downtown with more people attending gallery-style viewings or participating in workshops. WE Labs members have varied schedules and occupy the space 24/7, bringing a sense of vibrancy both day and night, with public safety and the economic health of Downtown encouraged by the presence of creative entrepreneurs with the determination to succeed.
WE Labs and it’s members are actively engaged in developing a creative atmosphere that will lead to new development and permanent businesses. We achieve this by cultivating a diverse community of startups that meet and work in a single place forming opportunities for new and experimental artistic concepts that will lead to creative developments in the Downtown area. Encouraging them to work together and use each others’ resources fosters the growth and development of industry within Long Beach.
