My name is Amy Lems and I live in the beautiful state of Vermont with my 9 year old daughter Mya. I have 28 years experience as a cosmetologist and small business owner. The company I founded 8 years ago, Vermont Organic Solutions, makes safe, effective, and affordable personal care products using natural, organic, and Ecocert ingredients. We are a Female Founded, Benefit Company and we love what we do, making our customers the products they want to use.
We have reached maximum capacity and are looking to grow. To do that we need more raw materials and packaging as well as larger equipment. Growth will enable us to make our products more available by getting into new retail locations as well as being able to introduce new products and product lines. Our customers have been instrumental in influencing what we make and how we make it and we're counting on their support with this endeavor.
We are looking to raise $10,000. The money will be spent on larger quantities of ingredients and packaging, as well as bigger equipment. This will allow us to make larger batches of individual products. In turn it will reduce both our cost per unit of raw materials and our cost of production. It will make it possible to be able to supply products to new retail locations, expanding our availability to our customers. It will also allow us to put new products into production.
