Short Summary

My name is Austin Parsons and I am an actor, writer, and filmmaker based in Alabama. My team and I are working hard to raise money for the budget of my latest project titled "Hightower". Hightower is the story of a young mattress salesman named Shane Hightower who attends his 10-year high school reunion to relive his glory days, only to have his life turned upside down by a mysterious classmate who everyone believed was missing, or dead, for the past decade. My team and I are excited to tell this story, but we need YOUR help.

What We Need & What You Get

Funding for this type of project is very important. Creating a budget for a film helps to overcome difficult circumstances that otherwise would be nearly impossible. The money we raise will contribute to many different aspects of the production. The most important and greatest cost will be my cast and crew. This includes several meals a day as well as fresh snacks. Other costs include transportation, insurance, etc.

The iceberg analogy definitely applies to the filmmaking process. It takes a lot of people, hard work, and dedication to be able to show you an amazing final product. This industry suffered a lot the past couple of years. Productions were shut down due to covid, which left many people, like myself, out of work. And now we are more determined than ever to get back out there and make art we can share with the world.

Once the film is complete it will be submitted to several film festivals all over the country. The acceptance in a film festival and the potential awards it could win means a great deal to those in the film industry and can benefit the entire cast and crew in finding future jobs in our field.
