Summary
William Hoane Journalist and satirist is struggling to re-establish his fledgling Hoane Publishing Co. After several brushes with the bankruptcy court and a stint in debtors prison. Hoane decides to have another go. Its third-time lucky for the much maligned writer and his side kicks, Daisy Milliband and Boris Bhakar. They've vowed to make Hoane Publishing Co. a success or kill each other trying.

Timothy W. Humphries is a Writer and poet from Brisbane, Queensland and created Hoane in response to some History of Journalism research he was doing during his graduate Journalism courses at Griffith University. Tim has over 5 years experience in Information Technology and is currently transitioning into a media related field.

The Campaign
This campaign is important as Hoane's skewered perspective is something that takes a fresh look at the professional and personal role of satire in media and how government attempts to control 'heretical' writing can have hilarious consequences.
Shot in a three camera in studio and on location mode, Hoane attempts to bring the dingy messiness of 1800s England alive, under the fast paced backdrop of the developing newspaper and magazine industry. The shows themes of unrequited love, jealousy, class envy and farcical attempts at creative suppression will appeal to a very wide audience.
The magnitude of the project will reflect both historical elements and current public debates over the role of free expression in media and the role that social commentary plays in this process.
Though the pilot itself maybe interpreted as political, it really is more to the point an exploration of universal values in an open slather ideological context that seeks to ridicule all sides of the pomposity divide.
Contributor Impact
Contributors can expect through your contributions the production of a pilot that will be pitched to both domestic and international media networks with a view to securing long term funding so that Hoane can be developed into a long term series. This means that all contributors will be helping to pitch a strong concept to major networks.

Details:
The production team needs approximately $20,000 to produce the initial pilot, which will go into hiring camera, audio and lighting equipment as well as contruction of rudimentary sets. We welcome additional funding to pay for more complex sets to bring the pilot alive!

The Creator of Hoane, Timothy W. Humphries has partnered with creator of 'In Quinns Paddock', Carl Groves of PowderBurn Productions. Mr. Groves has already constructed a strong cast list that includes both industry veterens and newcomers.
